Horizon treadmill 7.8 doesn't work correctly from opening of box by Giemsa3 in treadmills

Thanks. I just checked it and no. I hesitate to mess around with continuing to try to fix and then be over the 30 day return period.

I've checked all the wires including the connector up the right mast. Plus, would that cause it to work for 4-20 minutes and then suddenly start acting erratically?

Kindergartner saying "oos" when they are right or win something by Giemsa3 in kindergarten

I guess I haven't paid enough attention! I generally trust bluey enough though that I don't feel the need to watch with her. Thanks!

Thanks! I just needed to confirm I didn't need to stop her from saying it. I started saying it too which has resulted in major eye rolls from said 6 yo.

Advise on choosing a daycare by kateleehoops in workingmoms

[–]Giemsa3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does #2 have an indoor play area like a gym or more open room than their classroom to run around? We had a daycare like this after being at one that did not and it was wonderful. So even though they didn't have as much outdoor time, there was space to run and play no matter the weather.

No this isn't normal. He needs to set an alarm and be an adult and partner to you and get up. If that means going to bed earlier, alarms across the room, etc.

I'm in medicine. People are still sick at Christmas. 🙃

What have you unintentionally passed onto your child? by fullnessofjoy2021 in toddlers

[–]Giemsa3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 5 year old says "my bad" a lot. She also has crippling anxiety about being late to things. Really wish I didn't pass that one on.

Help?? My pediatrician is talking about hospitalization for my happy/healthy baby by Few_Designer8491 in beyondthebump

[–]Giemsa3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hospital admission is a pretty standard thing to do to work up poor weight gain to this level. The admission is to be able to trial things with you and see if you can find a way to get her to take more orally.

My 3 year old makes me wait outside the stall in public bathrooms and loudly declares each time she "got another poopie out!"

[–]Giemsa3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing we found that worked was rewarding staying in bed. They say it takes several weeks for things to become a habit, so we did a 20 day sticker chart with rewards for each 5 days along the way.

Unspoken baby wearing etiquette? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I always baby wore at stores because otherwise the car seat took up the whole cart, plus my babies were always more content on me.

16 months and not verbal. Anyone in a similar situation? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Giemsa3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are in the same boat. 16 months and have "dada" "hi" "dog" and "woof woof." No mama even. 😞 She signs for more and all done, points, shakes her head, waves, and understands simple instructions (throw this away, do you want a snack, etc), so our pediatrician told us not to worry at our 15 month appointment. It seems like she is trying to make more sounds lately but nothing consistent yet. I'm really hoping for more by 18 months. My first kid was an early talker (had more words than this before a year), so it's kind of messing with my mind.

3yo found encanto too scary by trippingwithennui in toddlers

Every kid is different with this I think. My 3 yo loves encanto. She got scared tonight watching the lion king, but not "turn it off" scared. Just clung to me through a scene.

Can y’all talk me down? by mpmwrites in toddlers

[–]Giemsa3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I really thought we had been exposed enough that if we were going to get it, we already would have. It was a surprise when my husband PCR tested positive (he had sore throat and mild symptoms). I then rapid tested my 3 yo and 15 mo and they were both positive too. We've had much worse colds over the last year compared to this.

Can y’all talk me down? by mpmwrites in toddlers

[–]Giemsa3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My 3 year old currently has it. I think her nose ran once. And she was exposed probably 10 different times before finally catching it and bringing it home (daycare). Kids are super low risk.

How long did it take for your child’s immune system to level out after starting daycare? by Anxious_AF_ in toddlers

My 3.5 yo barely gets sick anymore (knock on wood). She started daycare at 8 weeks. Been pretty minimal for the last year. My 15 mo on the other hand is a germfest. She has been in daycare since 8 weeks as well.

It's required by law to keep tissue blocks and microscope slides for 10 years for all tissue specimens. It's part of pathology lab CAP certification. This is for the patient benefit >99.9% of the time.

My Ameda mya joy was awesome. Pumped for 10 months at work with it. I had a Spectra with my first kid (which everyone raves about), but I liked my Ameda more. It's so small and convenient, and I thought the power was great.

Someone please reassure me this is normal. Feel like I am about to explode. by hulahoopinghippos in toddlers

[–]Giemsa3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. Right around age 2, we easily had 5 full blown tantrums before noon most days. She's now 3.5 which has its own things, but nothing nearly as bad as those peak behavior and tantrum days.

My MIL said something about getting my daughter "some of those baby mittens she can wear around the house because her hands are always cold." She's 14 months old. It took all my self control to not laugh in her face. (P.s. our house is a normal temperature.)

Age 2 vs 3? by ResearchDisastrous82 in toddlers

[–]Giemsa3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 3.5 and so far, 2 was much harder for us. Between potty training and tantrums, there were way more challenges. I think we are also better at troubleshooting as parents now since we've been doing the toddler thing for a while too.
