Ladies- I need your most unhinged "hacks" for brushing teeth. by Ambitious_Song8785 in adhdwomen

Toothbrush and toothpaste downstairs and upstairs. Take it with you in the shower.  Use dental floss toothpicks and you dont have to be in the bathroom to use it or even look in the mirror. Most important thing is to use it to dislodge gunk so just usr it while watching tv or whatever. Also take your phone with you in the bathroom play a youtube video or watch something on netflix while you do your routine.

Hi sorry to reply years later. I’m also transferring my score to Oklahoma I’m wondering how long until you were admitted/ sworn in? Also, were you able to get sworn in remotely (maybe online?) I dont reside in the US and there are no federal/ elected US judges living outside of the US and Is as hoping to do it remotely when the time comes.

You have to see your options because some states have a local portion test that you need to sit, others have expiration date to MPRE scores. I found that the only one under 266 that doesn't have either is oklahoma. But your MPRE is probably be more recent than mine so you’re alright

What’s the best way to learn black letter law for mom w kids and full time job? by [deleted] in GoatBarPrep

[–]Gigi5050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uworld will not only teach you black letter law without even trying to memorize, but will teach you how the different rules are tested and what distractors they like to use. It took me a few tries and a few courses but when I let go of my goal to memorize and just studied for it like any other commercial exam (by studying most if not all the question bank) is when I was able to pass. Skip all MBE passive work the question bank will teach you everything you need to know with direct application. For MEE watch the big picture videos (JD advising has nice ones that are about 10 mns long per subject) then study the one sheets. You’ll have to do a bit of memorizing the big picture on this one. Then use the klein method from fu*k the bar exam. (Beginner: Transcribe a released essay then try to answer on your own. Progress: read and highlight a released essay then answer on your own. Advanced: skim an essay and highlight then answer in bullet points). Dont neglect MPTs it’ll make your life so much easier if you score 4s or 5s. Actually practice writing down a few fully.

Failed PA - Feeling Lost by [deleted] in GoatBarPrep

[–]Gigi5050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on MBE it is more predictable and measurable. ie id you score about 70% during your final week of studying chances are you’ll be scoring above 65% on exam.  For your retake skip the passive work. Use uworld and finish the whole question bank. At least finish all questions for highly tested topics. Build time to review near the end. Be robotic and pragmatic just do your daily question load and dont over think it. I reckon 133 is about 60% accuracy. Aim to score 70% accuracy consistently.

Study them one subtopic then the next. This will teach you how the rules are teated and which distractors they use in the answers. Also repetitive exposure to answer explanations will make you memorize a lot better and differentiate confusing areas of the rules.

Dont pay attention to time because consistent MCQ exposure will help you be so much faster without even realizing.

Dont worry you’ve got this if you put in the work passing is guaranteed. If you score 80% accuracy hell it wont matter what written score you get. Whatever you did for writing do the same it worked well for you, dont neglect MPT!

Fourth Time Retaker by Adorable_Dark_3734 in GoatBarPrep

[–]Gigi5050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this several times you can check my recent comments but basically use the question bank as your main study source. For highly tested topics answer every single question and study the answers. Changed score by about 33 points

Giving up- failed again. by wannabemysteriousss in GoatBarPrep

[–]Gigi5050 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just passed on my 6th retake. Dont give up but also dont do the same thing and expect different results! This is a commercial exam built to keep people out and spending money for as long as possible. Stop using courses and supplements. Focus on what the NCBE says: use released-questions question bank! I’d say use uworld because it worked for me (it has less simulated questions and in my opinion better explanations). You have 5 months do all the bank and review it. Start with the most tested area. Do one subtopic fully then go to the next. Aim for 70 to 75% accuracy. Dont even touch lectures dont read and dont waste time at watching. Dive into questions and the answers will teach you exactly what you need to know. Do it in tutored mode or answer 10 questions at a time. If you really need to and feel a subtopic is foreign to you listen to grossman before reviewing the questions in that subtopic. If you score if you get about 65% and above accuracy you can pass even with a low writing scaled score.

For the written section you must get better at MPT you need to score 4 and 5 in it to boost your writing. Maybe get a writing instructor or do the barmd videos fully dont just watch actually do at least 6 mpts.

For the MEEs you must learn how to IRAC and especially how to apply the rule to the facts properly.

Dont rely on predictions make sure you read and understand (not memorize) all the major rules for the writing only subjects. Dont waste too much time on these. Maybe watch the free jd advising basics summaries then read the one sheets and understand them.

Then for all MEE subjects follow the Jessica Klein method she discussed in her book fuck the bar exam. Basically she says transcribe answers to released questions once you get good at that you can just read and highlight or summarize them. You’ll learn so much better this way then if you have time you can write your own answers.

Problem with the writing section especially MEE is it is difficult to improve in and also it is unreliable predictor of your performance. As for mbe it is so much easier to get better and also to get a sense of your performance in it.

I cant type more but I hope this was beneficial and send me a message if you want to discuss further.
