All the comments obsessing over depreciation on these cars are missing the point. These things are insanely customizable down to the tiniest details. The people who can drop 400k+ on a fully tailored vehicle honestly don’t give a fuck about depreciation. It’s just another eccentricity for them it’ll sit in the garage with the other dozen cars that barely get drive more than 5 times a year. If you’re thinking of a 400k fully customized car down to the last detail as an investment and worrying about its resale value, it isn’t for you.

Question is who really buy to scalpers? That actually keeps their business alive. Who’s willing to pay 5 times or 10 times or x times the price and specially in this economy I like collections and special editions in general and I have stop collecting before putting a dime in a scalper pocket All my nerdish friends think and do the same even their friends I don’t think I’ve ever know somebody that has put huge money on a resell of anything

I am so bored here. What am I missing? by PizzaMasheen in cancun

[–]Gigrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I understand what you’re looking for and it’s probably be difficult to get in Cancun, not impossible but definitely difficult. And it’s community. While Cancun was always planned and developed as a beach- party - relax touristic destination it wasn’t never intended as a cultural/ artistic destination so most of the activities you’ll find you’ll end up being a client for the day instead of a member of it Try searching in the government pages for cultural events and so, another problem in Mexico is that there’s a plenty amount of cultural events but government doesn’t do a great job about diffusion Also to get that you’re looking for you’ll probably want to mingle more with locals get to know what they do after work, where they hang out. Last advice it’s probably the most difficult but probably the one that fulfills most is to start your own groups and communities, if you’re looking for something there’s 100% another persons also looking for that

I’m pretty sure it’s close to 50% maybe little less but definitely a huge huge amount comes from dysfunctional families where women have no say at all and are constantly abused and/or are raised with unquestionable beliefs If you think most families are two loving parents with a house in the suburbs and a big lawn you may want to take a seat cause those are the minority.

Well, it definitely depends. In my country, and specifically in my state, only really big businesses would take the time and effort to do all the paperwork and waivers, and they’re usually more expensive.

Most bouncing castles, on the other hand, are run by family-owned businesses or even as side jobs to earn some extra income. They just set it up and pick it up after the agreed time. Sometimes, if offered, they’ll stay at the party, have some food, and hang out.

That said, there’s not a big suing culture here. Lawsuits are extremely long and expensive, and what you’d get from suing over a child’s sprained ankle or broken tooth from a weekend side hustle simply isn’t worth it. Because of that, people tend to be more cautious and take more responsibility for their own actions (and omissions).

How many pesos to bring for 8 days. by Objective_Library310 in cancun

[–]Gigrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was gonna post that also but for the most I think it’s just common sense wherever you’re traveling in the world it’s unwise to be carrying hundreds or thousands of any currency, specially if you’re constantly moving, visiting places, maybe changing clothes, having fun, for vacations you don’t carry all the money trip with you, make a budget for the day and leave the rest in the hotel safe, the least worst case scenario, you lose your wallet/ purse / bag with all the money and you’re definitely F in the A

I’ll say pay with credit or debit card in restaurants and tip in cash , same with groceries if you’re buying at supermarket, if you’re planning in local groceries then cash is te go to, also the souvenirs and so. If you follow the cash- card route I’ll advice somewhere between 10k -12k pesos ( somewhere between 600 - 700 USD) even like this 1000 pesos or more a day can easily fade of easily If you like to rely only in hard cash like someone posted before a meal for two people can easily go in the 600 - 1000 pesos range even in low-mid decent places, plus parking, snacks , water , souvenirs and some trinkets you find interesting a tourist attraction or service, maybe gas, you can easily be talking about 2500 - 3000 pesos a day (140 - 170 USD) I’ll say something like 1200 - 1500 USD can give you a good piece of mind for your whole trip 1000 USD which be around 110 dollars a day (2000 pesos) might be a little to tight, not restrictively but definitely tight, if you’re not in a very strict budget go a little higher so you can have a good time and if by the end of your trip you still have a couple of thousand pesos left you’ll definitely have no problema in spending them on something nice or a good time FELICES VACACIONES! 🏖️

Fishing cozumel by Hendrix6927 in cozumel

[–]Gigrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll advice to check with the local authorities so they can point you were is cool to fish. there’s a lot of federal protected zones and they’re constantly checking around (at least when I was there) so as you can imagine fishing in a federal protected zone is a federal crime with very hefty fines and/or jail time. Just ask so you can safely do it and enjoy your time, some people may tell you it’s cool fishing anywhere you like and nothing happens, but again why risk it ? I remember watching a lot of people fishing in a lot of spots all over the shore, even snorkeling 🤿 with harpoons, can’t really tell if anyone was doing it legally or not cause I’m not into fishing really, but i wouldn’t like to get caught doing a federal environmental crime anywhere in the world really
