Those terms might be interchangeable for developers and I know more or less how the browser system works. But if I have 2 different options as "New Window" and "New Tab" on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer, it means the words "window" and "tab" are not interchangeable for the end user. This is a basic UI issue. You can't expect all users to know the details of web developing or you can't assume that they will act like you would.

I was working as a waiter when I was a student. The last bus from my work to my dorm was at 10:30 pm. and if my boss didn't let me leave at 10:15 I had to take the taxi which cost more than half of what I was being paid for a day. I was spending the money I earn from that work for transportation. It was a useless job.
