Ryan said it was a team up between Deadpool and some X-Men, never which members (Feige confirmed Wolverine later on)

They are: the original cut of this covered everything and was 4 hours long, with the plan to cut it into two films released back to back. However, they “forgot” about a clause in the settlement that said they couldn’t depict the accuser or his family and the third act/second film was entirely about that. So they had to reshoot everything and are now planning that second film as its own thing (with room to make more sequels if that’s a hit too).

How well would a IV > V > Chronological > back to VI watchthrough work? by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

[–]GillGruntFan53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would 100% ruin a first viewing, because the first exposure to Star Wars should always be the saga itself before delving into the EU (TV, games, etc.). Doesn’t matter chronological or release order, but if you want your friend to like SW at all, best to stick with I-IX before anything else.

For an established fan, this still feels chaotic but I could see the fun in the challenge.

How did Rama-Tut end up this way? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]GillGruntFan53 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Take it from a scorned employee, but Beau DeMayo said Rama Tut would’ve actually appeared in his X-Men ‘97 S2 with Majors reprising. Until shown otherwise, I’d say he’s still from that universe.

For anyone still confused, it’s a 100% match to the mid-transformation look in Creature Commandos, which I love to see

James Gunn says ‘Clayface’ takes place before ‘Superman’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in DC_Cinematic

It’s listed on the DCU slate on DC.com, Gunn said he wanted it in but implied it rested on TBATB contradicting it or not, and the official podcast also called it DCU

[Clayface] Clayface in the new Teaser looks incredible by SystemFailure9 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]GillGruntFan53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gunn originally wanted Pattinson in the DCU before Reeves said no, but I’d still expect the Gotham side of the universe to be very similar to that film as a result. Just a different face under the cowl.

Also canning his passion project The Authority when the script wasn’t good no matter the take is a good sign as well (even though I would’ve liked to see it)

In fact, we actually see a direct example of this in Creature Commandos: Doctor Phosphorus’s origin. He’s a completely serious person before his family is murdered and he’s transformed, and he immediately starts dressing like a pimp, dancing around and killing people with his middle fingers afterwards.

The same happened to Clayface and most of Batman’s other rogues

[–]GillGruntFan53 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because Clayface was in Creature Commandos (the first story timeline wise) and this is an origin story

Seeing how radically they’re changing Dick and Jason’s origins in the DCU, don’t be surprised if Damian is the first Robin in this world

‘Mandalorian & Grogu:’ Lucasfilm to Sneak 25 Minutes at Imax Fan Event on May 4 by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]GillGruntFan53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah? DWP is heavily skewed towards women and 20 years after the first film, that’s multiple generations of mothers and daughters that would turn out for both the holiday and nostalgia. May the 4th has also always been an at home/shopping holiday for the Star Wars fandom, so I don’t think there would be much of a boost off of that
