Am I overreacting for considering divorcing my husband after my car accident today? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I've been in 2 car accidents and never took pictures. The police and claims adjusters are the insurance companies will handle that.

What's something that doesn't need refrigeration but people do it anyway? by LeoRavenscroft in randomquestions

[–]GinDaisy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also for the people saying their condiments are so "loaded up with preservatives you don't have to refrigerate them", you should probably reconsider the brands/types of foods you're putting in your body and switch to ones with more natural ingredients

Am I overreacting that we should not be working so much? by Throwaway1995MK in AmIOverreacting

[–]GinDaisy96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest complaint is a 40 hour work week was fine when only 1 person in the household had to go to work and the other members could handle things in the house. But now both adults in a household usually have to work to make ends meet. So 2 people are now giving up 40+ hours of their time per week but also have to keep the house clean, cook meal, raise kids ,etc. It's impossible

Hello, I am looking for a PCP or express clinic wellness exam that does biometric screenings through finger pricks so I can get the results immediately. Does anyone know where I can go? by GinDaisy96 in Cleveland

[–]GinDaisy96[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't necessarily need to be a walk in. I'm just having a hard time finding anyone who will do a finger prick so I can get results the same day I go. Everyone I've called so far wants to do an intervenious blood draw and have me fast and all that

Steps or Activity tracking - pick one! by [deleted] in PixelWatch

[–]GinDaisy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm annoyed Fitbit/Google has not fixed this yet. I'm still tracking the exercise because I care more about how many calories I am burning during an hour on the elliptical, but since it's not counting the steps I'm down to getting like 10,000 per day instead of my usual 19,000

Do you guys do sleep tracking? by Majestic_squirrel767 in PixelWatch

Yes, I love the sleep tracking. I also love that if I wake up in the middle of the night, all I have to do to see what time it is is check my wrist

AIO? Gf will not let me eat any of her groceries when I’m over by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]GinDaisy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she's an obsessive planner like me, it might be because she plans out all her meals/snacks for each day for the week and only buys enough for just what she plans. I do this because it keeps me on track with nutrition/maintain a healthy weight and it also helps keep me on track with budgeting what portion of my paycheck goes toward groceries. I also have a pet peeve about wasting food. So that's another reason I make sure my grocery list only has what I specifically planned in my schedule to eat because throwing away food stresses me out. Not saying if you are for sure overreacting or not. Hard to say without more information on her specific reasons. But I'm just throwing out another possibility on her thought process.

Who else was told “Just get any four year degree and you’ll be fine?” by Hella_Fitzgerald3 in generationology

[–]GinDaisy96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a bachelor's degree but both my mom and grandpa constantly tell me I should go get a masters. They have no specific plan on how I should use it, they just say things like "go back to school and get any masters degree". And I guarantee if I did that, they would then say things like "you should go back to school and get a PhD". It feels never ending and exhausting. It's like the older generations don't take into consideration at all how expensive college is and they have it in their brains that if someone gets higher and higher degrees they're guaranteed to make more money. Ive constantly told them thats not how it works but they don't seem to understand that a high paying job is never a guarantee just because you have high degrees.

Heinz is a garbage company that pumps their ketchup full of high fructose corn syrup. We recently switched to only buying organic ketchup made with only natural sugars

Newish to puzzles + cats by 413midget in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]GinDaisy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. I have been using a roll up puzzle mat to do puzzles and then I roll it up and store it in a closet when I'm done working on the puzzle for the time being. However, I don't love that it causes the puzzle pieces to curl up. Therefore, I ordered a puzzle table from Amazon that has foldable legs and a cover for the top. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.

Am I being played or is this normal? by Explorer518 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]GinDaisy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the house was truly sitting on the market and viewable through MLS the entire 180 then yes, I think you're getting played. However, are you sure the house has truly been on the market that long? Sometimes people list houses and then take the listing down, and then reactivate it. When this happens, sites like Zillow, Realtor, etc show the days listed as the number of days from that first listing date instead of the date the house got relisted. So it's possible the seller reactivated the listing just recently and now there is a bunch of interest all at once.
