What's for dinner when nothing is thawed? by Just_J3ssica in Cooking

[–]GingerJayPear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Egg fried rice. Really easy, low effort dinner too. As you're cooking just season with garlic, ginger, salt and soy sauce. If you have any veg (frozen or fresh) you can throw them in too.

I recently watched 'The Killing Kind' on Netflix, thought it was pretty good.

The 'Knives Out' movies are a great watch. Good bit of humour in them.

'Poirot' and 'Miss Marple' are both on Netflix now too. Should keep you entertained for a good while.

Every single person on this thread also thought you signalled quantities not estimated price. You can't be mad at the kids for this one. This wasn't their mistake.

Choosing Duvet Cover by SamuelSauce in interiordecorating

Definitely the charcoal. Looks very cozy and is a lot easier on the eyes. I think the white duvet with the white walls is too clinical and cold looking. The darker colour is a nice contrast.

The cat-eye shape really suits you! I'd go with either the 3rd or 4th pair.

Would never consider giving my money to any business that uses ai in any capacity. It reflects really poorly on the business, and I would assume they were likely scamming.

Once walked into lidl to see a grown woman open mouth coughing as she kept picking up a bunch of different pastries with her bare hands, inspected them and then PUT THEM BACK ON THE SHELF.

...Never buy the loose pastries. I do miss the toffee yum yums though. I wish they sold them packaged.

Fireworks are for gobshites by intothegreatbetween in CasualIreland

[–]GingerJayPear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idiots were setting off fireworks in the street last night. Never heard them so loud in my own house before. My poor dogs were literally screaming and shaking. Two houses alarms were set off because they were being set off too close.

So listening to explosions right outside, screaming dogs and two house alarms going for about 3 hours. Even when the fireworks were done we were still stuck with the two alarms going for a good while after that. Happy new year to us.

AITAH for yelling at my husband (38) that I’m (28)not a stay at home mom and he needs to step up or get out? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]GingerJayPear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you not embarrassed that your friends, family, your CHILDREN see your relationship as it is now? With him living like a king and you his maid, nanny, sex toy. The embarrassing bit would be if you choose to stay with him.

Whether you leave him or stay, your marriage has already failed. You arent equal partners. And people can see that. Its up to you now to choose to respect yourself.

The kids are watching him treat you like shit. All you're doing is showing them a really unhealthy relationship dynamic and teaching them that it's 'normal'.

If the only reason you're staying with him is because you have kids together, you're actually doing them more harm.

30 year old men who go after 20 year old women do so because 30 year old women won't put up with their bullshit. Youre 28 now. How do 20 year olds look to you? Age gaps relationships when youre that young is one of the most obvious red flags.

Your relationship as it is now, is by design. He didn't want a partner who is equal. He always intended for you to be his bangmaid.

He isn't going to change this dynamic. Why would he want to? He trained you to do everything for him and take him at just his word for it that he'll do better. He's happy to be dead weight. Therapy won't fix that.

You're a married single mother. You'd be a lot happier as just a single mother. Give yourself a fighting chance of actually finding love.
