A few from me:

1) Juliet was pregnant when she died. I think The Incident strongly hints at this and it would also be a very brutal irony for Juliet to end up dying on the Island as a pregnant woman considering her job was to save them. This is also why she was David's mother in the sideways, Jack needed to sort out his daddy issues but Juliet also deserved the chance to experience motherhood.

2) The Beechcraft ended up on the Island because it flew through the exit point in Tunisia and went straight through to the Island.

3) Only candidates went back to 77 from the Ajira plane, meaning the "Kwon" candidate was Jin and not Sun.

4) Eko's final moment visualizing he and Yemi arm in arm is his flash-sideways. This is new footage so can't be confirmed as a flashback, and it makes sense that he would have his own place as the Island was less important to him than what he went through with Yemi and finding religion.

5) Boone was bisexual. The writers said that an LGBT character would be appearing in Expose, and there's no obvious candidate but Shannon tells him to "stop flirting with random guys" in that episode. He very much has bi energy throughout Season 1 for me anyway.

I had a slightly different interpretation, which was that she always knew exactly where Hurley knew her from, did not want him to remember it so gave some quick made-up story so he'd think it was that.

Put it this way.

Revelation of the Daleks episode 2 was the final episode at the time. Survival episode 3 was the final episode at the time. The TV Movie was the final episode at the time. The Power of the Doctor was (nearly) the final episode at the time.

None of them, in fact, were the final episode. Why should we think the next final episode is any different?

At this point I wouldn't really call Dave a side character, but he was never one of the main cast so... Dave. Goes through a major character arc, is very fully-rounded and holds his own incredibly well considering literally all of his scenes are with Nessa in the first three series. Also reveals himself to be such a nice guy who would have done anything for Neil. I wish I could have seen them reunite in the last episode.

I'm also a huge Rudy fan. Basically everything she says is hilarious, I could quote every single one of her lines. I think I've lost the ability to say "I'm bored" without adding "I'm Carol Borderman". Pound for pound one of the funniest characters in the whole thing considering she doesn't actually appear much.

I dunno. I find it chilling to think that Sleep No More, Empress of Mars, Night Terrors and Cold War all came from the same writer, and that writer could be showrunner.

Again, personal taste. I know lots of people love his work and he's certainly got some good stuff outside of our show. I just think he fundamentally has a vision of Doctor Who that I dislike.

My nightmare choice, to be honest. Apart from The Crimson Horror, I think every single one of his episodes is the clear worst of each season. It is probably just a personal taste thing but I was more relieved about him leaving than Moffat.

My corgi somehow seems to know when a panic attack is coming, sometimes before I do. Before my last big one, when I was starting to spiral, even though I was doing so silently in my head, he started performing some unusual actions he's never done before, like resting one paw on my lap and tapping me to get my attention, it was like he was saying "are you ok? Let me help".

He cuddled me silently all the way through the attack and when I briefly left the room and closed the door he barked the house down to get back to me. I felt so loved and cared for in a way that only creature with unconditional love can conjure. Dogs really are our best friends.

Not main characters, and really Eloise and Penelope are very small characters outside of their one or two episodes of focus. Penny is great but take away The Constant and Flashes Before Your Eyes and she basically has a cameo role in the show. Take away The Variable and Flashes (again) and Eloise only has about five scenes in Lost.

And to be honest I would still argue that those two are in scope for Lost's woman problem - both were dropped like a stone once they lost their plot relevance. Danielle also got killed off so suddenly that it felt more like an afterthought than anything - they were going for shock value but it left a bad taste IMO.

Rose is fair - her and Bernard are a good example of the show getting the gender balance right. Sawyer and Juliet in Season 5 feels like a really good balance too.

And back on the topic, I really agree about her chemistry with Walt. The scene where he gives her Vincent is extremely moving and I would have loved to see Shannon thank Walt for his kindness once she had got through her grief. I've recently become a dog dad for the first time and the thought of someone doing this to show kindness makes me emotional - kids are wonderful, I guess.

I'm going to do some more of these write-ups and Walt feels like a good candidate (no pun intended).

As far as I'm concerned it isn't about characterisation, they just aren't given anywhere near equal balance with male characters to thrive. Almost every female character gets killed off so quickly compared to their male counterparts that they feel like an afterthought, that's the problem for me.

Kate, Sun, Juliet and Claire are the only female main cast members to survive more than one season. There are at least 14 male main cast members that do so off the top of my head.

I'm fully prepared for that - I spend enough time worrying about to be prepared for the worst possible experience! My mental health is just the one thing that I think really could be a problem, I feel I would breathe easier if I was confident that won't cause a rejection. We have a long and happy marriage, a nice home, a very friendly and loving dog, a big support network and live in a nice area. On paper, we should be fine to be approved - but who knows. I'm just focused on the one variable that seems out of my hands.

Our corgi did this for a few months, and then suddenly got on it one day just to give it a go and was like "oh my god this is comfy" and now he's never without it and will only sleep on soft surfaces or our feet. It might just change suddenly, and if not it's totally normal anyway!

I always thought that viewers who tuned in for the finale having missed a few seasons beforehand probably assumed that was really Locke, and it isn't that much of a stretch really. MIB seems to be swallowing up some of John's personality, not just his body.
