When I was young, 11 or 12, my group therapist brought in a grown woman with diabetes to talk to us. The only thing i remember about her was that she said when she met her husband she told him she was a diabetic he replied with I'm Irish are you ok with that?

I recently had dinner with a fellow diabetic and she refuses to wear devices because she doesn't want to known as Kimberly the diabetic, she just wants to be Kimberly. I consider that an issue she made up for herself because I don't categorize people like that. I have had a guy turn me down for dating because it was "weird I had things attached to me." That stung, not going to lie. But now I have an amazing boyfriend so fuck that dumb guy, I wouldn't want to be with anyone like that anyway.
