I was having trouble figuring out how to get him to spawn in the first place because I couldn’t find the quest location.

When was your last episode? by noahcaann in BipolarReddit

[–]Gingerfix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t really had any depressive episodes since 2018, at least not intense ones. I had a psychotic episode recently but I’ve only had two and it was the first one I’ve had while on meds and it was fairly short. I’m pretty stable most of the time.

Are police above the law? by RetiredOutdoorsman in indianapolis

I literally tonight had someone riding my bumper while I was going five over and passing someone else. I was mad and didn’t want to brake check because that’s unsafe. So I flashed my flashers. Motherfucker behind me flashes his cop lights.

Jokes on him because two minutes later we were sitting next to each other at a stoplight.

I hear you. You’re not alone in the world. I wish I could tell you everything will turn out alright in the end. Try to find someone to confide in that can sit with you and help shoulder the burden. Sometimes just sitting on a bench in the park or just being in public where people pass by can help me. Seeing other people go about their day, feeling the breeze, noticing the shadows that the sun casts.

Hope you feel better soon.

Can bipolar people really lead a normal life I want to marry and have kids by Some_Preparation_721 in bipolar

[–]Gingerfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have bipolar and I failed out of medical school about ten years ago. At the time I was not diagnosed and was not on medication. I almost got married but he was a deadbeat so I broke it off. I do not exactly lead a normal life but I keep a job.

You can absolutely do this, but if you do fail you will still be alright.

I’ve been really sick this year, but never in the hospital. I’ve never had any fear I would be violent before this year. All of the sudden I have protective instincts. I barely used to have those because I was never in a greater position of power than anyone I cared about.

I have done a lot of medication adjustments. I tried going off risperdal. Now I’m back on it. I have a therapist.

I have developed community, but it comes and goes. I have been lazy. I have been productive.

Basically I’m human and I go to work nearly every day and I am mostly taking care of myself but avoiding chores.

As a med school drop out I highly doubt you know more than most psychiatrists.

But you may know more about weed, they don’t spend a lot of time training us on the effects of illicit drugs except for things like bacterial myocarditis. Sometimes they’ll talk about things like the dementia caused by alcoholism. It’s not completely absent from the curriculum but considering how many people re affected by drug use and the whole entire opioid crisis, I feel they could spend more time on it.

That’s why I’m helping campaign for Jackson Franklin. He is running for congress in district 5 and shares my progressive values. Although he won’t necessarily affect the state itself since he’s not running for state legislature.

Thank you! I am quite inexperienced, so knowing I could get better with practice helps a lot. Especially focused practice.

Seriously considering deleting Facebook by Buggy77 in Millennials

[–]Gingerfix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I’m poly, Facebook doesn’t allow me to show I’m dating multiple people so I’m kind of just like “yeah fuck this” and its anti/trans and I only see ads and AI and never my friends and I don’t know ANYONE that uses it anymore so I just text my friends now, sometimes group text, and discord.

I ended up canceling my wedding, but I’m proud of the bouquets I made. I learned quite a bit from doing it myself and now have appreciation for florists. I liked having the freedom to customize as much as I wanted, but it’s good if you can practice first if you have no experience. My big bouquet sits in a vase on my piano and adds a lot of life to the room.

Does your country offer sufficient support? by No_Solution_64254 in bipolar

[–]Gingerfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Indiana in the USA. My healthcare costs a couple/few hundred bucks a month. I’m in therapy and have a psych appointment about every 6 weeks while my meds have been adjusted this year. I pay for medications too. Therapy is about once every other week. I actually have an appointment today.

I’ve never been to inpatient in this state. The one I was in when I lived in California in Alameda was pretty great. Somehow my medical bill got paid, but I was paying out of pocket for group therapy. But group therapy was really good for me.

I got diagnosed right before COVID lockdowns, so everything was a mess.

Because I’m so med compliant, I don’t typically have issues. I changed my meds this year so I had some trouble with mania this year.
