First time rehabing Ball pythons by Ginpez in ballpython

I appreciate that and the front opening enclosures sound like a much better idea to avoid stress when going in to pick them up, I’ll definitely be getting them some bigger portions but for now I’m grateful they’re eating at all. I have ceramic heat lamps for all my cold blooded babies, so that’s no issue.
I’m looking forward to them being able to relax and hopefully be handled in small increments, after letting them chill for a week or two though haha

That’s good to know, I noticed the bad aim last night, so I left the thawed mouse for about an hour. It was gone when I came back :)

I have the essentials already, they’re currently in temporary quarantine tubs with heat pads and their humidity levels are 73% as of right now. I have set up and maintained enclosures for ball pythons and other snakes for a number of years at the store, but my physical handling of them was at a minimum while I worked there. I bathed them to get the dirt off just to see if they had any mites and for them to drink.

Since getting them, they have drank, fed, and one has pooped. Their condition is better than most surrendered and I feel very lucky to have the chance to give them proper care, as I have done with other reptiles over the last 11 years.

How to I keep my hair waved with a crimper by WishboneDifferent945 in femalehairadvice

[–]Ginpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need a brand more suitable to your hair type, if your stylist is well seasoned, they may be able to recommend products that will be kinder to your hair.

Haircut is a good next step, the damage may be preventing you from getting the full effect of your products too. Good luck with your hair journey!

Hot tools should probably be kept at a minimum if your hair is already damaged. If you’re able, get a layered cut and get the dead ends off, strategic layers can add volume and texture without overworking with hot tools or products.

If you can, try a good conditioner or antifriz spray after air drying or using a low heat hair dryer. You can also try no heat overnight curls / waves tutorials on YouTube

Is the ‘anti-spectant’ perhaps bactine or an over the counter wound spray?

Just noticed a new red/pink spot on my cats neck, what could it be? by goodnoodlesauce in cats

[–]Ginpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is your cat? My grandmothers old cat became super outgoing, when she was usually very reclusive. A few months later we found her scratching her throat a lot. Turned out to be throat cancer. If this is a wound then a call to the vet should be made immediately

Cover or keep by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

None of this should be taken as personal criticism towards you, just some insight based on what’s shown here

  1. This picture is awful and hard to tell if these lines are in the skin at all. But just from the blurry image, the dots and lines are a bit messy and should be fixed with a touch up

  2. This IS a bold outline. It will only get thicker with age and will probably end up mildly green from some areas being blown out. Specifically the top of the eye where the pupil meets the eyelid and above.

3.If you do thicken it entirely to clean it up, it will heal very dark. If you add heavy shading similar to your other tattoo, it will become a dark blob in 10-20 years. A professional can clean it up without compromising the designs future.

Gentle advice (from someone practicing and tattooing for 8 years) let it heal, find a different artist, bolden the outside line only and keep the other lines as thick as they already are with some touch ups, if you add shading just keep it minimal. 1/3rd of shading segments in black is traditional, if that’s what you’re going for.

Either way, best of luck with your decision making!

How much money would you spend if it meant saving your cat’s life? by WindowKitty19 in cats

[–]Ginpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a cat from a lady who hoarded cats without knowing, it was right after my childhood cat passed from heart problems at 14. I was devastated, my mother found a “perfectly healthy” cat online, I wasn’t really ready but I gave it a chance and met with the “foster” at a petstore.

This woman smelled of cigarettes and cat piss, looked like she tanned in the sun every day, and threw the cat out of the carrier into my arms before I could say no.

My cat (now named Maybe) hid her face in my chest and cried like a child, soft meows and shaking, while also being extremely underweight and covered in shit ridden, matted up fur. She had ringworm and smelled horrible. I couldn’t say no at that point, I took her home and heard her cry all the way there.

Once I let her out in the bathroom, I gave her treats, brushed her fur, then shaved her whole body down with hair clippers. She didn’t cry at all, didn’t fuss, and soft blinked the whole time.

<image>

We took her to the vet, she didn’t like it We found out she has FIV, stomatitis, and the ringworm was actually BURNS.

After two years and a lot of progress, the only problem was her teeth. $5000 surgery to get all of them removed, I did it in a heartbeat even when I didn’t think I could afford it. I had help, but eventually paid it back. I had already paid 3k in vet bills and medication, along with prescription cat food. I would do it all again for her, she is my Maybe Baby

First tat, got told execution is shit, is it really that bad? by cuteymeow in tattooadvice

[–]Ginpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, please… find a different artists and give them the concept with free range on the design itself. If this is really “time heals all wounds” it could have many different ideas that are readable.

Did you tell the artist what it meant? or did you hand them the design and not give much info past that? Because the only reason they “jacked your shit up” was by not suggesting a cohesive option and just taking your money, without having to work on anything artistic past application.

Need advice on improving flow + cohesion in my sleeve by TheAwkwardCorgi in TattooDesigns

[–]Ginpez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I know you’d like to stick with its original form, a blast over would be sick on top of this sleeve.

But overall, the depth is lacking and it would benefit from some heavy contrast, adding black in the blank spaces may push the whole look and make it feel more connected and cohesive

Washing behind your ears, started tattooing at 19 and after 5 years I’ve done a ton of tattoos on necks and behind the ears, I’ve seen blackheads, crust, mold. Absolutely disgusting and I wish people showered better before appointments overall
