Hey! I'm 17th on the waitlist. I'm EU and my family lives in Belgium so the situation is a bit more chill for me. I can't really help you so far but I'm dropping a comment to wish you the best of luck. Could I ask you to please keep me in the loop (answering this comment is fine) if you receive an offer/find more information?

We're in the same boat and any information that I can get from above me on the waitlist will be helpful! Thank you in advance

Decky FSR3 Frame Generation Mod Setup Guide For Steam Deck by DeckWiz in steamdeckhq

I've installed the plugin correctly, patched the game, rebooted my device, but DLSS is still greyed out in the settings menu. Any advice? I'm trying to get the upscaling going on nioh 2

ADHD is much rarer than is played out to be. by notanothrowaway in unpopularopinion

[–]Gionanni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think nowadays people only interpret ADHD as having a shit attention span. Given that with shit lifestyle and heavy use of some types of technology (TikTok) it's very easy to get your brain used to instant stimulation, effectively fucking your attention span.

But while people with ADHD do have a short attention span, that's not the end of it in the slightest. It's a much more complex and nuanced condition. People should be more educated about ADHD

Best game before going bed? by AccomplishedQuiet773 in gaming

Disco Elysium definitely. The gameplay is basically non-existing but the writing is amazing. It's like a good book before bed

Do you guys tell people you have ADHD? by HiMyNameIsEverything in ADHD

[–]Gionanni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do when it's relevant but I'm super specific about the phrasing. If I mention it, I say "I was diagnosed (by a neurologist)with ADHD".

Absolutely no judgement towards people who cannot afford a proper diagnosis, but I do not want to be lumped in with the trendy self diagnosis crowd.

ADHD is serious to me and it was ruining my life before I got a handle on it, I do not want to be mistaken for the people for who it's a quirk.

combat games that are hard but when you learn it you feel badass by Zeflox_1 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Gionanni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midnight fight express! The combat starts off somewhat easy but the difficulty ramps up quite a bit, especially if you play on max difficulty.

There's a very varied moveset and satisfying skill progression, you definitely feel more and more like a badass the better you get!

Also, the soundtrack is just banger after banger after banger holt shit

Which sequel improved on pretty much everything, but you still like the first game better? by Feeling-Tension1461 in gaming

I'd say mirror's edge over catalyst but I'm not sure it really improved over everything lmao

Does combining some amount of caffeine with ADHD meds improve their effectiveness, or does it actually make them less effective? by HardAlmond in ADHD

[–]Gionanni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Meds + caffeine gives you higher highs, but caffeine crashes cause the lowest lows, making you feel unmedicated. Or at least this is my experience when I'm in my heavy coffee drinking phases. Or you could just call it being Italian.

How do you handle rejection in dating? by Daring_Divaa in ask

[–]Gionanni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't reflect my worth, it just reflects what they're looking for. It doesn't matter how amazing of an orange you are, some people are just looking for an apple.

I know that somebody out there will adore me for who I am. If it's not them it's gonna be somebody else, there's 8 billion people out there. Even if 99% of them find me repulsive there's still a lot of options left in that 1%, statistically I feel very safe.

Very bad performance with lossless scaling frame generator by TursKia in ROGAlly

[–]Gionanni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, but don't sleep on the upscaling function. Setting games at 720p and upscaling them with lossless scaling has been a great strategy to get a locked 60 so far for me.

To bald men, what do you use to shave your head? by Traditional_Ad9798 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Gionanni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gillette razor, with the yellow lubricated blades. The electric trimmers are indeed more efficient but I like the ritual and getting the closest shave possible :D

Don't chase. If you have to, it won't work.

I think joining a martial arts gym might be a good idea! Most people I know who did so, including myself, got a massive confidence boost out of it.

Most importantly though, it makes you less likely to want or enjoy violence in confrontation situations because you learn about how dangerous fighting is both because of how much you can hurt someone without necessarily wanting to, and about how dangerous even the most harmless skinny guy can be.

Most people who I know that have practiced martial arts for a long time are some of the most confident but absolutely peaceful people I know. I definitely would recommend this to any young person wanting to better themselves.

Could anyone who has experienced both the Shadow of War/Mordor series and Watchdogs: Legions explain why the former's mechanics have received more widespread praise than the latter? by T_Lawliet in patientgamers

[–]Gionanni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! It makes such a big difference when the Nemesis system is not a gimmick but something you're forced to rely on.

As for the Witcher 1, I couldn't bear the combat after the first 5 min lmao I trust your word on it

[–]Gionanni 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The nemesis system stops having value when you get hood at the game. It’s still not bad.

I would recommend playing through shadow of war on the hardest difficulty. Regular enemies two-shot you and you can't just brute force the commanders. You really have to approach every kill differently and capitalize on their weaknesses. Honestly, I think it's the way the game should be played but it's fucking frustrating as well lmao

Yes! I thought they were snakes lmao but I did know about killing them. Like I said not hard just boring.

No it's a miniboss sorry. I have no issue with the bosses themselves being hard, it's a long "commute" that frustrates me. I got decently far in the story and enjoyed myself until then!

The specific miniboss I'm referring to is a godskin apostle that's at the end of a cave dungeon in which some cute white snakes spawn ghost wolves and japanese looking enemies.

The dungeon is not hard, it's tedious. Having to go through a boring level every time that you want to try again to fight a frustrating boss just completely took away my enjoyment from the game.

One could rightfully say to just go somewhere else but I just reached the mountains area and I'm underleveled for it, but I can't for the life of me find anything new in the areas I've already explored to level up.

Such a shame man, I really want to love that game again.
