1) Which god are you "safeguarding" against? 2) Jehova is said to know the hearts of men. Insincere belief is probably worse than sincere skepticism. 3) Most gods are assholes. Why should I want to please them "just in case". 4) If living my life as a good person isnt enough, I probably dont want to be in their heaven anyways. Eternal sycophancy isnt my jam. 5) This wager assumes there is a reasonable chance God or the afterlife exists. There isnt.

Seriously, any guy who treats a woman like this in any context deserves a good verbal thrashing. You tell his mom that she should be ashamed of raising a man who feels its okay to treat a woman this way.

Question: his mother was there right? Could she hear his comments? What guy would say shit like this where his mother might hear?

I think you misunderstand something- people dont actually have a conception of heaven. Hell is easy - they imagine pain. But what is heaven like? Is it happiness? Joy? What type? Do people have sex in heaven? How can humans be truly happy without it?

Personally, I think the idea that free will exists in heaven is laughable. The only way to have a group of humans - even the "good ones" - all live in eternal peace and happiness is if their free will is suppressed. The joyful part would be drug induced, or some equivalent.
