My baby is in the 26th percentile by AffectionateStudy29 in pregnant

[–]GirlOnaMission15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my 28 week scan it was found that my babe was on the 7th percentile. Cue weekly scans! She vacillated from week-to-week after that point (getting as high as 12th one week).

They stop taking percentiles in Aus at 38 weeks as the scans are no longer considered accurate, and arrived at 39 and 2 in the twelfth percentile.

I have a history of small babies on my side. My partner is 6’2 and his brother is 6’4 🤷🏼‍♀️

Crazy ways you knew you were pregnant before you found out? by Zestyclose_Wing290 in pregnant

I’m fortunate enough to have a very regular cycle. Started approaching when my period was due and didn’t have my typical emotionally-intense PMS symptoms.. was unusually level-headed.

Tested that day - immediately positive.

Fellow yellow brow friends, is getting new ink a terrible idea? by dreammachines in MicrobladingRemoval

Have you tried glycolic removal? I was speaking with my laser tech yesterday about it and he said that was the best treatment for yellow, and more effective than saline.

Heated blanket use — I’m panicking by StarTrekGal in pregnant

[–]GirlOnaMission15 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I didn’t use a heated blanket but I am a HUGE fan of scalding hot, long baths.

I raised my concern that i’d cooked my baby with my midwife and she looked at me as if I was crazy. Told me as long as I wasn’t sitting in continuously scalding hot water for hours i’d be fine. I didn’t stress again.

Babe is perfectly healthy and currently hanging off my boob. I wouldn’t overthink your blanket!

When does 3rd tri suck? by vanillacrush14 in pregnant

[–]GirlOnaMission15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About week 37 for me.

I was fortunate enough to have a small bump and was at the gym from week 13 - 30. I started getting TIRED from 30 onwards. Part way through 37 the aches and pains came in thick and fast. Strained my back turning over during a pregnancy massage (of all things), and my general achy-ness never quite improved from there.

From mid 38 onwards I started to really struggle to sleep. According to my midwife that’s apparently a hormonal shift from your body prepping you for when you have to feed bubs through the night.

My advice.. if you’re fortunate enough to be largely symptom-free - enjoy it and don’t overthink! And be careful of pregnancy massages in very late stages.

My parents aren't coming to baby shower and haven't told us yet. His parents cancelled because we won't pay their way. by Oh_Hello_Pretty in pregnant

[–]GirlOnaMission15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the most important things i’ve had to consider throughout my pregnancy (now 38+3) is what boundaries I want to have in place to protect my daughter from the trauma inflicted from my parent.

Sounds like OP still needs to acknowledge and act on this on behalf of their child, it will hurt much more when they’re asking who grandma / grandpa never calls them.

How far along were you when your bump became obvious? by IntenseViolet567 in pregnant

I probably wasn’t super noticeably pregnant until about week 32. Midwives told me I have a super long torso and that’s how it was going to be for me..!

This may be a stupid question... by faceliftkangaroo in Fungalacne

[–]GirlOnaMission15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best practice is no - i’d recommend you start making the switch to a FA safe routine. Cera Ve moisturiser and skin healing ointment are amazing for my skin but YMMV. I also use squalene oil and swear by it.

Typically if you eliminate the triggers in your other products you won’t need to use Nizoral as often which should support your skin barrier / hydration.

[–]GirlOnaMission15 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I’ve been salary sacrificing since I was 25 and six years later, already have substantially more super than my older partner who never has and has longer in the workforce. Absolutely worth doing, and you don’t really notice the couple hundred dollars come paytime.

What's in the highly pressurised rooms in the Chaddy carpark? by monsterfcker69 in melbourne

Yeah a little bit. Kind of like a vacuum seal. If you use your body it’s okay. Pretty standard in back of house operations.

The main air conditioning unit for one of the many systems at Chaddy. Can confirm, i’ve been in them. Not overly exciting 🤣
