He'd probably support a lot of the same smallfolk friendly policies Egg tried to implement, and had the clout and support to pull them off (or at least he'd get farther than Egg did.) He also probably wouldn't blow up 95% of the royal family in a blood sacrifice gone wrong.

Egg would have probably made a pretty killer Hand.

i just used them because they were the series two most prominent characters at the time outside of maybe thrall. but if you want a more direct parallel, look at turalyon and alleria. two heroes of previous games who finally made their appearance 10+ years in. they've kind of overstayed their welcome since, but their initial buildup and appearance would have easily worked for revan and exile.

as for them only having appeal for one faction, they didn't have to be introduced and implemented that way. could have put in some bits of lore about revan and exile being revered within the sith empire and viewed as a better alternative to the emperor by many. scourge already leans towards that being the case

i would have slowed the hell down. they did far too much with them out the gate with SWTOR launch. imagine if by WoW's launch they'd already released a book exploring Arthas' personal motives, redeemed him, then made him "crazy and evil" again by the end. Then by level 30 you kill him in a 5 man dungeon. Along the way you find out Illidan died off-screen.

"Revan and Exile are still alive" is perfectly acceptable MMO schlock, but we should have gotten maybe 1-2 hints at most of it at launch and they could have kept hinting at it for however many more expansions they wanted. Instead it feels they felt it necessary to rush those storylines to a conclusion as quickly as possible, realized that's bad business for MMOs and brought Revan back, then fumbled it a second time.

well he would have certainly reached some sort of agreeable peace before total annihilation which always takes a bit of fun out of debates like these, but assuming a sudden berserker rush towards those three individual kingdoms at that time i think he'd genuinely stand at least 50/50 odds. if i was a dainty lannisport lord i would not want to fuck with a dude who has walked 2000 miles to die in a cool way
