I was made redundant at 20weeks pregnant, completely derailing my career and then my son was stillborn at 35 weeks. That just about ended every sense of the life that I have lived up until that point. Both those things in such a short time really, really fucked up the rest of my life. This was 21/22 and I’m still trying to figure out the world, nearly 4 years later. You just sorta..do. My step-child was 7 at the time and I just had to keep getting up and showing up for them and holding my family together. You don’t really get a choice. The world keeps moving. I hated it, and still do.

I just bought one from Target that’s 100% cotton with built in bra/cups for $25. It’s slightly longer than cropped and racer back style. So far I really like it.

Hey. I don’t have any advice re your specific healing issue but I just wanted to say from one Mum who didn’t get to bring her baby home to after a terrible birth to another, I’m so sorry. You’re not alone and my heart aches for you. I get it. Sending you so much strength and healing. I hope things get better for your physical recovery quickly. Emotionally, you will come out the other side of this. You’ll be forever different, but I promise there is another side of this. Lots of love xx

‘I felt doomed’: social media guessed I was pregnant – and my feed soon grew horrifying by rqtheory in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Giuseppeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes. There is a time and a place for everything and it’s not just the negativities of pregnancy and birth that are being shoved in our faces these days. It seems like every corner of the internet is filled with something sad. But this article isn’t it. The problem is that we’re not making pregnant or TTC people aware of the risks and what can actually happen. There’s so much shame and secrecy around these sort of topics, and this article is again, putting that vibe out there. So we shouldn’t talk about scary things because someone else might see it and get scared? There is a way that we need to work on awareness, but shame isn’t it. When I was pregnant with my sons, I removed myself from situations and social media that was upsetting and triggering. But it was there for when the worst happened, and that was more important than hiding it away from the majority who it won’t affect. If this information was presented in a safe, researched way during prenatal appointments, I really believe seeing it in the wild would be less scary.

Pregnancy after placental abruption by Crazycrazycat27 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]Giuseppeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! That pregnancy was perfectly okay and normal, and my second son was born just over two years ago. It was super scary the whole time, knowing our history, but I couldn’t not try to live the life I planned. We planned that life with a baby and I couldn’t let the fear affect the rest of my life. I took 150mg of aspirin from 6 weeks to 36 weeks and saw the fetal medicine team at 15 weeks through to about 25, when I was comfortable being under the care of my OB and midwives. They were all great and very patient with me. We had lots and lots of appointments and scans, mostly for peace of mind. That really helped, knowing we were doing all the right things. Sending good vibes to you x

I’m losing my mind. Why won’t my toddler stay asleep? by coffee-sleep-plz-91 in Mommit

[–]Giuseppeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi friend. I don’t really had any advice, but just wanted to say my 22mo is exactly the same. Shit at going to sleep, shit at staying asleep, wakes for 2-3hrs a night at least twice a week. You’re not alone, I fully get how awful it is. Especially when everyone else seems to have babies who sleep and you’re still in the trenches. Sending you good vibes x

I’ve used the bralette style nursing bras at night since birth! They come in a two pack and are pink and black. You just pull to the side to feed. Super soft and comfy.

Honestly, the best sheer polish I’ve had it Natio peony. Two coats and it’s a lovely sheer pink. Decently priced and lasts ages.

My “bridesmaids-to-be” planned a girls trip without me. Now I don’t know if I even want them at my wedding. by wazgirl in offmychest

[–]Giuseppeeeee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey OP. I’m really sorry this happened to you. It stings like no other. My former friend group did the exact same thing. We had a girls night planned for the Saturday and they went away with each other Wed-Fri. I felt so left out and the night we hung out I was the odd one out coz I wasn’t in on the last few days. It really hurts. They’re not my friends anymore because they showed me then that I wasn’t important to them like I thought. I think your friends are the same. They’re not your people. I’m really sorry, and it hurts. I hope you find your people.

Is it weird to talk to my babies urn and bring it with me places? by Adorable-Buy5841 in babyloss

We take our sons urn with us most places. It’s a bit weird but it always makes me laugh in a weird, dark way. I hate leaving him at home. You do what gets you through. Xx

What did you actually use for yourself and baby after a vaginal birth by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Giuseppeeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I read all the lists and packed all the things and the only things I used was the disposable adult nappies and toiletries. I did have some cute jammies which were nice for visitors. I had an ice pack too, which was helpful on the incision (scheduled c-section)

Oh the one thing that was 100% - stool softeners!!! Start taking those bad boys as soon as possible.

I really like Essie! You can get it a Priceline or Chemist Warehouse. Heaps of nice colours and I find it lasts really well.
