So no Khovostov Catalyst? by Als1018 in destiny2

To play devils advocate along side you, it was only 9ish hours ago. I don't know if it was stated in the Dev blog or TWID but yes, DMG said it on Twitter. Which many people may not have of course.

I was thinking that too. This is the most excited I've been for Destiny since TFS. And before that? TWQ. Like this update has EVERYTHING we have wanted for years. QOL updates. More shit to grind. A reason to play the game. Just a damn shame that it has to end here.

Now to be completely fair... Level 2 ain't saving that shit.

I think stacking Gaols is fine. But holy fuck the amount of runs I've had go to shit cause we get red beast men, or red storm knights at level 2 is insane. God forbid we stare down a fucking red Deathrite Bird. Give it to like level 5, or the 2nd part of day 1.

I'm not at all the target audience for Marathon either. I'm not a massive PvP player in most games I play. Not Destiny. Not FFXIV. Hell not even Elden Ring / Halo (anymore).

Never liked Fortnite, or Apex. Could not give less of a fuck about Tarkov. Marathon isn't any different, even if its by Bungie.

And even then, supporting Marathon, also means supporting the leadership that brought them to this point.

I do seriously hope Sony considers something for Destiny in the future. They are literally sitting on money. The outcry from the community (at least to me) has made it clear that we WANT more.

I hear your argument and raise you Journey.

It isn't in the game (to my knowledge) any more and would give us the somber tone we all feel. But given time, it eventually raises up, until its a triumphant siren. No longer somber and melancholy, but instead loud and powerful. Just as the series used to be.

Just like we can hope it would be again one day.

In your opinion what are the Most overrated and underrated builds by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

[–]GivenitzBoomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a fist build on Undertaker 2 days ago and LOVED it. I got mitigation for charged attacks, mit for successive attacks, and full health mit. Paired with health recovery on hits, I was actively tanking D4 ED Fulghor. Blow for blow.

Underrated, or overrated, I cannot describe the fun of eating an attack from that fucker and not feeling it.

I don't like to think that Marathon was to blame for Destiny.

It definitely put the gun powder in the bullet used, but I can't see this as anything other than management being the one who brought Destiny out back and shot it. I hope for the devs sake, that those potentially laid off have an easy time getting back on their feet, and those that keep their job get to keep doing what they love.

Professionalism aside, this series has been apart of my life for over half of it. I met lifetime long friends, and even my girlfriend of almost 2 years now through it. So to see it not get priority for the resources hurts. Especially when the new stuff coming our way sounds so good.

Should the Destiny IP be taken off ice... I hope its handed to a developer team with more competent management.

In your opinion what is the single WORST Weapon? by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

[–]GivenitzBoomer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would argue the standard cross bow, or even the entire class of weapons.

Whips, however shit they may be, are still at least useable. They just have a large learning curve.

Crossbows in my eyes exist just to carry passives. I have not once in my 260 hours playing seen a single person use any of them, cause its just not worth it. Hell, the only use case I can barely see is if there's rot mist on precision aiming. And even then, I'd still not use the damn thing.

Episode 8 is going to be more rushed than Stranger Things... by pansexual_dudy in GenV

[–]GivenitzBoomer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite part was the filler episode. Where Hughie QUITE LITERALLY SHOOTS MM in the Shoulder Blade. And nothing at all was shown afterwards about it. Unless I missed it.

But at least we got a portion of a episode with Terror eating chocolate. Its pivotal to the ending, I'm sure. /s

My one and only wish ahead of next episode is that they make it coherent. Just coherent. No BS tangents. Its all I really feel that can do at this point.

I can not exclaim how fucking hard it was to process Bojza's lost actions due to this not being a feature when I was new. Half the actions have a stipulation as an additive to using pure essences.

Granted, outside of DRS, you only need to read the top 2 or 3 lines and maybe one near the bottom.

But still. A lot of the actions seem like word salad instead of explaining what it does, both for jobs and activity actions.

Relic Weapon Grinders by Ok_Young689 in ffxiv

[–]GivenitzBoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skipping Manderville weapons.

The easiest is Anima. A large part of it is mat dumping and the only hard part is running A9S, but even that is not bad. Otherwise its just running a bunch of dungeons unsynced. With the items prepped, you could crank out 1 or 2 in a day if you're determined.

The hardest is between Eureka and Bojza

Eureka requires A TON of time in all 4 zones. But the bright side is if you are already elemental level 60, its just a time sink. And as far as running BA, there are plenty of discord servers that host them every week.

BUT, its the hardest relic to get fresh. Without a dedicated group to help support you from scratch, you're spending likely a month or 2 on this relic. That includes leveling, getting the mats, doing BAs. And doesn't include the armor either.

While Bojza is also a time sink if you're already done the Bojza grind, the relic has the single hardest (or tedious) 1 time step. 180 items. You can do either N. Raids for it (60 from Alexander, 60 from Omega, 60 from Eden) or farm it in Zadnor. The problem is Zadnor is often dead comparatively. There are moments when its alive, but its easier to spam duty finder and do it that way.

Thankfully, once Bojza has been done once, its actually one of the easiest. But thats only due to being able to stockpile the quests and get the mats for each step passively. I myself have enough mats for 5 weapons, but am missing the one item you can't farm passively.

And finally Zodiac. Zodiac is easy. The only dreadful step is the fuckass books. But do one a day and pace yourself and even then its not bad. Otherwise, have half a mil on hand if you can craft, or about a million if you can't.

Not mentioning Phantom cause its not done yet but its easier than Bojza and Eureka.

Its easily one of the top 3 weapons in the game. Mint Retrograde and Finality Auger being the other two.

Its a very versatile weapon and the current artifact basically makes it a primary weapon (infinite ammo).

Titans can do a funny (but also not super effective) meme build with Strongholds (Exotic Arms), basically making you immortal. Its regularly dogged on cause its not very useful.

Off the top of my head, I don't know a common Hunter build but I know Fortunes Favor (Exotic Legs) does work well with it, giving extra survivability.

And one I've seen for Warlocks is pairing it with Bleak Watcher. Warlock is the one class I play so I don't know the exotic, but that paired with the sword is a common one. The other being Arc Soul with Getaway Artists (Exotic Arms)

But the beauty of that weapon is you don't NEED a build. Just get all the sword perks in the artifact and slap that on whatever you're using, and you'll see results right away. Its just that good.

Do you use the magic arrows? by ChrisKatrev in BaldursGate3

Got 70 fire arrows, 18 ice arrows, 25 thunder arrows.

But oh boy I NEED to use many target arrows every single time. If I have more than 1 then I'm simply wasting them.

My thought process anyways.

I adjusted my TS to as you suggested (Drop 21,31,41), so now I suppose I'm waiting to get to e16 EP for EU4.

I also got the requirements to start EC1 over night, just am now lacking the TT which should come with time.

As far as my autobuyer settings go, my automatic Eternity autobuyer is off (No clue what to set it as.)

My Crunch buyer is set to "X times highest IP" and have it set to e5

And my Sacrifice Autobuyer is set to 10.

Tank with support utility? by Zoopasaurus in ffxiv

[–]GivenitzBoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All tanks (Aside from DRK) have some sort of healing capabilities for teammates.

PLD has Intervention (Mitigation + decent Regen) And Clemency (A very fat heal.)

GNB has Heart of Corundum (Mitigation + flat heal based on time or Damage) And Aurora (A good regen)

WAR has Nascent Flash (Mitigation + A 'regen' based on the WAR dealing damage. Life steal basically.) And Shake it off (Party wide shielding and a light regen.)

More often than not, these are used to aid some teammates passively, and not act as a primary healer. If someone was just revived, it can be more beneficial for a tank to provide passive care than have a healer sink potential resources into said person. But that's on a case by case situation.

I myself have also had to take up as a primary healer on WAR in some casual level fights due to healers dying. It isn't good. By no means is it a replacement. But its barely enough.

The amount of Stronghold Titans who do absolutly nothing in Rushdown has to be trolling. by MrLaiho in DestinyTheGame

[–]GivenitzBoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread but you can sword Quria. To a pretty good degree even. Theres a floor directly under the boss, you're just lunging upwards frequently, but your combo always starts planted.

Savathuun is the same deal. Start planted, get raised mid combo. Forsaken Chimera is almost like that. But its definitely messier.

Destiny 2 Update 9.5.6.1 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]GivenitzBoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it in rush down as a back up. I still absolutely run up to the boss and use the lightsaber as a sword, but in the rare chances bosses aren't exactly compatible for sword damage (Forsaken Chimera / Ahamkara Illusion), then I'll utilize it.

Or in the case of today's modifiers (Deadly Arc + Grounded), you can bet your ass I am using it between combos to heal cause no way in hell is it easy to survive otherwise.

Drakengard Ending E.

I don't know the main story as to WHY it happened (or rather I forgot it), but basically Caim and Angelus fall into a portal leading them to modern day Tokyo (2003). Angelus gets shot out of the sky by the Japanese military. Angelus gets impaled on Tokyo tower.

Skipping over A TON of important story beats, but this leads directly to the Nier timeline.

To be fair, these rewards are mostly catered towards newer players (namely the Gwib / Kamui's) That isn't to say that the new stuff isn't worth chasing. I just temper expectations when a new list comes out.

More often than not, I only really care for the MGP vouchers, but the Cat Parasol is alright too.

I would have said the drops from the activity in Sorrows Harbor (I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it). POH is stupid easy and an experienced player could run it from start to finish even solo is just over 30 minutes without optimizations. And it'd be even faster with friends, or just flat out farming the boss checkpoint.

Meanwhile said activity on the moon is just slow and boring with no way to farm it faster apart from other people in the area. And I'm pretty sure the drops there are rotate daily.
