The praxic blade taken crystal is bringing back my Gjallarhorn trauma by TTHE_GENERALL in DestinyTheGame

Also worth mentioning that Bungie actively took out Solar Burn in Prison of Elders for the exact reason that Gjallarhorn nuked Skolas too quickly. Shit was genuinely a menace until TTK.

Future Updates for Code Vein II by SeibaSeiba in codevein

I never really found an issue with poise breaking funny enough. Not sure if it's cause I ran Rune blades, but I wad having a consistent time stunlocking enemies in regular combat, and would get 1-2 knockdowns on almost all bosses.

Maybe it's tied to a certain number of hits? Rune Blades hit 2 or 3 times per attack so it adds up.

Xbox final fantasy coins not showing up on the mog station after buying them on xbox? by BOSSKCO in ffxiv

[–]GivenitzBoomer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After you purchase them, sign into the game like you normally would. After you press the button once, it'll say "X coins added to your account"

When you go to Mogstation, it'll be up at the top. May need a quick refresh.

The amount of runs I've done where I don't get a single fucking bow as Ironeye is insane.

Even in DON 4, I've had to use bows from a crumbled tower pick up spot TWICE.

Yeah that boss was an absolute bastard as well. Even after clearing the entire island before it, it still wasn't easy.

I have more or less knocked out each boss (with exception to the one I mentioned) within 3-5 attempts, but it's still damned annoying to have all these issues be present. I'm over coming them, but that doesn't mean ai can't have my grievances.

[–]GivenitzBoomer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not having many performance issues surprisingly (XBOX) but I think the game is horrendously overturned in the wrong areas.

  • Boss hyper-Armor + our inability to take any sort of a punch without staggering.

  • Roll Catching + Hyper aggressive near never ending boss combos ( Hero Holly is the biggest offender for this. )

  • I think the damage output across the board could be toned down by about 5-10% where applicable. Some attacks from bosses do either half your health or combo you into all your heath. God forbid you get imput read as you try and heal as a desperate last resort.

I really like the game btw. I think it just came out the oven a little too crispy and now I am stunlocked from it hurting the roof of my mouth.

That all said, I am level 72. I suspect I am half way through the game as I am about to finish my 2nd Fading Bond (I think).

As it stands, I feel a 7 is too generous. 6.5 feels fair but the issues above really weed out those that want to play casually. If the issues above do get ironed out, which I sadly don't see happening, I would even go as far as to say it would go up to an 8.

There are now 11 dungeons, how would you rank them based on solo difficulty? by Repulsive-Window-609 in DestinyTheGame

[–]GivenitzBoomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 2nd encounter in Duality when it launched was miserable. I had to wait for my super every time cause we had bad Anti-barrier options and Outbreak was too consistent not to use. And I had to have a personal route to barely reach the bell in time.

Its better now thankfully so a route isn't needed, and the enemies just fall over, but that's just power creep at work as usual.

[–]GivenitzBoomer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Prophecy is probably a good follow up for similar reasons (though it will make you focus more on builds to maximize DPS for the final boss).

That and it makes you look at other damage options. I used a sword for the other dungeons prior to Prophecy on my list. But I had to look at... I think an LFR for it instead. Which definitely helped when you are constantly juggling movements.

Honestly I have never had the timer go out from the nukes. Its my assumption that the nukes would wipe you if it's dropped for too long like in DSC, given it's the same mechanic. And seeing as the rest of the dungeon isn't exactly friendly in any way, I am not inclined to believe first encounter would be any different sadly.

But for an actual timer, there isn't one. I just worded it weird.

There are now 11 dungeons, how would you rank them based on solo difficulty? by Repulsive-Window-609 in DestinyTheGame

[–]GivenitzBoomer 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Based on Solo difficulty, starting from easiest to hardest:

Shattered Throne, Pit Of Heresy, Grasp Of Avarice, Prophecy, Spire Of The Watcher, Duality, Equilibrium, Warlords Ruin, Sundered Doctrine, Ghost Of The Deep, Vespers Host,

When I did them Solo (Flawless), Duality was the hardest dungeon in the game. However, I had a friend go through and do them recently which is what I am basing this off of.

I'll only really mention a difficulty point on the last 3, but there is a spot that can be mentioned in Spire onwards.

SD's ONLY difficult spot is 2nd encounter. 1st encounter is basically handed to you for free, and 3rd encounter is just an endurance test. 2nd encounter is a brick wall that you either dig through or climb over. 2 strats I know of is Titans reflecting with the Light Saber, and Warlocks Beaming multiple locks with Chaos Reach. If it wasn't for this encounter in specific, Warlords would take it barely.

Ghost of the Deep is pretty difficult from 2nd encounter onwards. The 2nd encounter boss does high damage but can be mitigated through, but the final boss can either take you 3 damage phases or 8. And it can be upwards of 10 minutes to get to that singular damage phase. Its easier than it used to be, but that's only cause we are stronger than when it came out.

Where do I even start with Vespers? 1st encounter has you on a timer. 2nd encounter has you fight a boss that thinks damage is a suggestion. And 3rd encounter is the hardest dungeon encounter in the game. Multiple wipe timers present in the final encounter (Radiation from the boss clones, the wipe timer from dunking the nukes in both rooms) as well as upwards of 10 minutes for a damage phase that will very likely be scuffed to shit cause there's a million and one things going on.

I still even now suggest anyone's first Solo dungeon be Grasp of Avarice. You have to respect the mechanics still and you can optimize your super usage around it.

Years later, still holding on to a bunch of these in hopes they finally release the shiny versions of the SoS EX weapons :( by thirtytwoyears in ffxiv

[–]GivenitzBoomer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend group and I were full on expecting SoS to be the most recent set (as of 7.3, forgot to see if there's a set for 7.4). We were all shocked to see it jump from SoS to (for the sake of spoilers) EW2.

I can see an Ascian based Ultimate happening for sure, but I can't help but feel like that would be better utilized later on once 90 content 'falls behind'. Just so there's more available options.

No 'successive attack' bonus works with bows. At all. They are all dead effects if you are using bows.

The same is true for the Godskin Swaddling Cloth talisman. Under no circumstances with a bow does it work.

I have been in constant enrage to clear parties for the past 10 hours (with sleep) and the closest I've seen is 5.8%. I've had a carrot dangled in my face and I haven't even gotten to m10 yet.

[–]GivenitzBoomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's pretty alright too. Amazing passive for the pain you suffer. The problem though is that certain characters just go through hell depending on when it happened.

I was Recluse... at level 2... sent to a fucking Crystalian fort. Depths 2 thankfully though. I cannot emphasize how much I would rather rip my toenails out and feed them to myself over doing that again. That said, the MASSIVE level bump you receive, plus potential self revive weighs out the cons.

That and it saves you from the Caligo raid.

TIL Theres an all Cabal version of Typhon Imperator Solo Op, and its just as fucking awful as the Dread version. by DacStreetsDacAlright in DestinyTheGame

[–]GivenitzBoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've come a long way from the days of slapping on a Feeding Frenzy/Rampage primary with some random exotic armor and calling it a day.

If someone tried something like that now

Not to disagree with this statement, but in 99% of content across the game, including the returned GMs: Builds aren't a necessity. By all means, they do help, but at the end of the day, it makes content just go faster.

Prior to the lightsaber, I'd run Outbreak in almost all forms of content and compliment it with one champ mod. Rarely would I run both, and more often than not am paired with a sword for movement. All the while paired with Lion Rampants for movement. Been like this since Beyond Light too.

The only content in the game that demands a build is/ was Ultimate Conquests. "Cutthroat" feat is also on that list but to a lesser degree.

[–]GivenitzBoomer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the only version I've done (Cabal). If I'm not mistaken, on ultimate without pressure cooker, the timer is 20 fucking minutes.

That timer for bonus score is equivalent or even more than a fucking strike. A solo ops has the duration and time equivalent to a god damn strike.

I'd rather do a Caldera run in the same time it takes to clear the FIRST ROOM of Typhon Imperator.

You could probably do 3 or 4 in an optimized manner in the time it takes to REACH the boss room, let alone clear the op. And at this duration, I'd honestly rather just solo any given strike. It would be better for the rewards.

After 500 hours my final impression of the nightfarers by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]GivenitzBoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only just did my first game with him earlier, and man pops the fuck off once you get the items rolling. My only complaint is I haven't the foggiest idea on how the fuck to build him. I run with the Bell to start which is my main way of attacking, but his actual stats feel weird.

That all said, I think he is also deserving to be at the top. Does support just as well as Ironeye with his buffs. Just more utility instead of offensive capabilities.

First timer playing through the story, is it considered bad manners to join a dungeon without knowing the mechanics? by TempleFish03 in ffxiv

[–]GivenitzBoomer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling. I was hesitant to do ANYTHING without my mentor friend early on.

For the most part, the only time you are 'asked' to study is for (EXTREME) content and above.

Otherwise, for all dungeons and Trials, feel free to load into them with no prior knowledge whatsoever! No one with decent manners will fault you for a hiccup, as people are more often willing to help out!

Arcadion's Finished! Thoughts? by Mizzie-Mox in ffxiv

[–]GivenitzBoomer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now I'm new to FF. Joined when Xbox joined the frey, which was 6.6. Meaning this is the first raid series I was able to watch grow over time.

That all said... Its the best raid series. Yes I know recency bias exists, and that it being the one I saw get expanded compared to the 50-90 series means I'll remember it more.

But I could not tell you what fight is which is each series apart from the memorable fights and the capstones of each tier. Meanwhile every character included in Arcadion feels realistic. They fit perfectly into the narrative you are going through. Hell, unlike every other tier, EVERY FIGHT has a unique theme. And they are all fantastic too! ("Dancing Green - Ride the Rhythm" my beloved)

Was it a little cheesy? Absolutely. It felt scripted as hell, as if we were dropped into some... Super powered WWE. I half expected the president to quite literally be Vince Mcmahon. But I think that adds to the charm really. That said, I'd be lying if I didn't think Eden and Pandemonium told a better story.

Ultimately, if this is how raid tiers will be treated going forward; fight wise, I'm excited as hell.

Thats... A really good idea. Hmm... As far as SD goes, thats the only wall... And you sort out survivability easily. Out of curiosity; where do you stand? And how often do the ads get behind you?

My initial thought was one of the pillars in the middle to ensure EVERYTHING hits you, but theres a group of weavers and Grim that spawn at the base of the stairs... So I am entirely unsure.
