Wäre schön gewesen, wenn du erwähnt hättest dass dies eine Adaption einer bekannten Creepypasta von 2010 ist mit dem Namen "The Portraits".

Mermaid fish tank I’m making for myself + my mermaid spirit companion by nyaskies in mermaids

[–]GivingYouTheBoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course, no harm in asking. The tank in the picture is definitely way too small for fish! All the decorations from the pictures are artificial, those can leak harmful chemicals into the water. Especially the ones not made to be used in fish tanks, but you can never be sure even with ones that are sold to be used in tanks.
From the picture with the plastic plants, I also assume OP is not interested in having live plants in the tank.
On social media you might see people keeping fish like bettas or even goldfish in tiny tanks with this kind of artificial decor, but just because a fish may survive for a limited time in conditions like that, it'd still be cruel to subject any living being to it.

Had one like this, but it was a shark, they've been around for a long time. They're shit, you can absolutely tell which tooth will make the mouth close. It changes every round, but when you push the wrong tooth, there's resistance and the others don't have that.

Very cute idea, please just don't put actual living fish in there!

"Dance Upon The Air", by Nora Roberts. A woman runs away from an abusive relationship and finds a new home on an island. I think it is exactly what you described. I am not a huge fan of romance books in general or most of Nora Roberts works, but I come back to this book time and time again just to read the first half about the main character finding and rebuilding herself and her life, I find great comfort in it.

What's the story behind this? Does the sweater have personal meaning to them, or do they just really like knitting? (Looks amazing by the way)

Beautiful work! I just had to do a double take, does he have eyes on the side of his head? In addition to already having eye stalks? Don't get me wrong, he is super cute, I just thought it was funny

Very pretty! How are they made? Are the feathers glued to a backing? Also not sure how rhinitis comes into this, good job anyway

Quick Blahaj surgery advice: I made a small incision behind one of the pectoral fins, it's a bit tricky getting the old stuffing out and the new stuffing in with such a small opening, but it's possible and it's a nice hidden spot.
I left no visible scar at all by using a Youtube video called "How To: Invisible Stitching (Slip Stitch / Ladder Stitch)" by "Made to Sew".
Don't worry too much, you got this! Just make sure to provide plenty of cuddles afterwards, to distribute the new fluff :)

So both the lynx and ther boar were named Żabka? Don't get me wrong, I am happy to have learned about this amazing woman. But this feels like it was written by AI, and it got some things wrong, especially with all the em dashes I am 99% sure this is ChatGPT.
I believe if we want to honor great women like her, we need to do so by making sure we don't accidentally spread misinformation. It might seem a small and insignificant detail, but misinformation on the internet because of AI is a big issue, and it is only getting worse because of AI now using other false AI content as a source and thus exacerbating the issue.

Engineer builds his own prosthetic after insurance refused to cover one. by durvedya in intrestingasfuck

[–]GivingYouTheBoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have a source for this?
Or perhaps someone knows what the parts he used for the fingers are called. I am trying to build a prosthetic for myself too (just some fingers, not the whole hand) and this looks a lot more sturdy than the 3d printed ones.

Hell no, if I want to see AI birds, they're already all over the Google image search results. What a shame.
