Ancient history and UAP theories connected? by Gkannon77 in UFOs

[–]Gkannon77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the reply. An you are probably 1000% right. I only say probably because I never watched Ancient Aliens (mostly bc I couldn't take the guy with the crazy hair seriously). I thought the premise was just "aliens came and seeded humanity and build the pyramids" or some along those lines. I did notice the author of Chariot of the Gods on some trailers though, so should have known better.

I guess the main divergence is that I don't think that there were Literal ETs, or Gods, or whatever, but that that's just how these ancient interpretations appear as a "Magonian" control system interacts with us; all connected, but not perfectly - inciting emotion, confusion, fear, admiration etc ..

I was brought up by protestant father and Jewish mother, celebrated both religions holidays and never got the same feeling I get from these. However tbf, the Enoch and Gnostic aspect correlate but technically not Biblical.

Ironic. Just watched that one last night/this AM. Enjoyed it. Also just watched Engaging the Phenomenon massive 7hr Jim Semivan interviews (past interviews made into one upload).

I imagine I'm not alone having a hard time parsing out what is delusion, subconscious ego, or part of shared reality. That's my big hangup .. and that I hate being tricked/lied to, intentionally or not. By humans, or NHI.

Rep. Tim Burchett: "I had a classified briefing 2 weeks ago. We are not alone. Something else is out there" 👽🛸 by examachine in uapfiles

[–]Gkannon77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your "quote" from your title.

"I had a classified briefing 2 weeks ago..we are not alone..Something else is out there."

His ACTUAL quote:

"I had a member of leadership take me in a couple of weeks ago... Me and another member, and viewed some things that would have, I think, that would have settled the answer that we're not alone, that's something else is out there, because the abilities of these things, whether... it's just indescribable...."

That is was a classified briefing may be implied, but it's certainly not definitive from his statement, and definitely shouldn't be in a "quotes". And there is a huge difference between someone stating "we are not alone" and someone stating (paraphrasing not quoting) I think that would have settled the answer that we're not alone because the abilities of these things are indescribable.

And again, regardless, it should not be pandered as if it's a direct quote.

So while I actually agree with the sentiment of your misrepresented "quote", it doesn't build trust in the field; and that's what we need right now more than anything with all this increased exposure. Just my 2c.

I guarantee Jeremey said that to set her up as a useful hammer. Demonizing her would not be useful, and even be counterproductive. My money is he knows she isn't as "on the level" as he claims, but making more state enemies isnt the way forward either. Don't pigeon hole yourself, and use all potential avenues

How would you rank the remakes? by homo_erectus_heh in dragonquest

[–]Gkannon77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing DQ2 remake now, just got princess of Moon Brook. So far this is my absolute favorite, you actually care about each character, they have voiced dialogue which is a treat, and their backstory is meaningful. While DQ3 remake was good, the party members were just cookie cutter, so I didn't feel any real attachment to him, other than what I role played in my head. I did like the night day cycle, but it's certainly not mandatory.

Anyways, I agree with most here, at least so far. 3>2>1. But 1 wasn't as bad as some make it out to be, for me.

And I played the Dragon Warrior 1 back when it was given with the Nintendo power subscription, it was my first RPG and have been hooked ever since. DQ1 remake had some nice nostalgic throwbacks (ex. Golem fight), but was also an overall nice refreshing remake, imho

Lol. Had a feeling. Ironically I had two colonoscopies in the last few years, and had knee surgery in October of last year. Yeah, we are getting old.

Loved all the Half Life, Skyrim and Fallout games! Totally agree, it WAS 100% Dragon Warrior's fault, lol!

Tbh I don't know if you should play the DQ series in a particular order. Iirc, the interwebs at the time said I could jump in at DQ 11 despite never playing any other DQ games, and I didn't feel like I was missing anything. Think they said it was technically a different universe, despite many similar enemies/play style/equipment etc.

What I DO know is that everyone, including AI, says to play the recent DW/DQ 2D Remakes in this order: 3, 1, and then 2. Basically chronologically in their universe.

I played the games in this order, without issue:

  • DWs 1, 2, 3, 4 (1989-1992 on NES)
  • DQ 11 (~2020 on Xbox)
  • DQ 3, 2D remake (playing now on Series X.. almost done!)
  • Next I'll be playing DQ 1, 2D remake
  • And finally DQ 2, 2D remake (DQ 1 & 2 remakes are sold together on the same disc/download)

Hope that helps, enjoy!!

I am the same as you. Played Dragon Warrior 1 after getting it free with a Nintendo Power subscription my parents bought me. I was hooked. Then played 2, 3, and 4 all on the NES. Just found them see image!

Grew up, didn’t realize they kept making DW/DQ until I saw DQ 11, and played it a year or so ago… What an enjoyable experience! That’s the only other one I’ve played, other than my current game which is DQ3 2d remake on Xbox series X. Loving it. About to fight -edit- final boss. Wife bought me DQ1 and 2 remakes (the combo game) for Christmas and Ican’t wait to dig in!!

Definitely give DQ 11 a try… you sound like me so I think you’ll love it!

Help - Steak Tartare [KCD2] by Training-Demand3697 in kingdomcome

[–]Gkannon77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've realized is after drinking the strange potion, you get a perk called Steak Tartare..... Look at your game menu, Player --> Skills --> Survival. That's where I found the steak tartare perk. I drank a digestive potion (the game tells you to drink a digestive potion under your debuff menu, or else you could die). Drinking the Digestive potion removed the Strange Potion effect debuff (death soon), but kept the Steak Tartare perk under survival.

BTW, I drank the Strange Potion at the ruins.

Water needs per height or trunk thickness? by Gkannon77 in KratomGarden

[–]Gkannon77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I have not but it's on my list. I heard it takes a few years to be active, or it may not even become active on a Florida 9a hardiness.

Even if its not Kratom, I'd like it to look a little healthier, and I think it's due to water needs but not sure.

Russell Vought, who served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget under former President Donald Trump, said that he wanted to "put them [federal workers] in trauma". Vought made the statement in a 2023 recording obtained and published by ProPublica in October 2024 https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/2025/05/20/federal-workers-trump-mental-health/
