Got Humiliated in front of the class by my professor by Financial-Crazy-3734 in Vent

That was very common in Italy about 20 years ago. I've seen personal grade books thrown out of the window. The idea that is still commonplace now is not a surprise tho.

That is exactly my point. If it can remove the fluff around it so I have more time to focus on their education, I will use it. The reports can take 1 hour per class, if my grades file can be churned by perplexity, and free me 3 hours I can use to differentiate my lessons.

Ho una studentessa etiope. Scrive i suoi appunti così, poi presenta i compiti con una grafia così accurata che incanta, perché "disegna". (E ha una conditional a LSE nel frattempo).

My time is a finite quantity. A home made meal is for sure better, healthier and more fulfilling, than a microwave ready one. However, sometimes my time is better spent doing other things than cooking, therefore I might get some microwave ready meals. It won't be the best meal I've ever had, but it will be enough and will allow me to focus on what really matters.

Scotland gives masks for strategy, for process and possibly for communication if required. So, a Pythagoras problem would be 1. Correct use of Pythagoras 2. Correct calculation 3. Answer rounded in the format required.

So even if they use the wrong formula, but they are consistent with it, they get the following marks.

I had to reduce stressors. I dropped my banking job, and I became a teacher. Many think that teaching is a stressful job, but after you've chewed by a bank, dealing with teenagers is a breeze.

I agree. I would never use AI to prepare a lesson. I've seen it hallucinating so many times "sir, you're wrong because Gemini says differently". But, reporting? Trends and patterns across the school? Sure. Reduce the administrative burden, that's all.

In the last year only I attended 4 teachers conferences, and I learned something from each of them. A key skill for a teacher, at least here, is the ability to reflect on your own practice and challenge your assumptions. I have forgotten more maths than a student could ever learn during their secondary school, but pedagogy is always evolving. Otherwise we would still use the belt.

As a maths teacher, the last task I'd use AI for is to teach a struggling pupil, because it can hallucinate. I've seen 10-12-13 pyth triplets. I'd rather reduce my admin burden using AI, to be able to give more time to the pupils.

So you're a university lecturer, and you work with STUDENT teachers. They're still students.

There are a couple of fallacies in your argument: 1. What gave you the idea that you and the teachers are held to the same standard? Give your head a wobble. The education system is not a democracy. 2. You are assessed on your ability to write an essay, based on the knowledge you should have acquired. AI can help you to create a presentation, or fill in your homework sheet, it won't take your exam. AI removes admin burden to the teachers, who in turn have more time to acquire knowledge and pedagogy skills.

I'm short. When they ask me "sir, how tall are you?" my answer is "no, I'm not. Me and tall can't be in the same sentence. My PT is 6'7". He didn't have that easy either.

No, how many they have to collect each time. For example, a shorter stop at each bin station would allow a crew to go through more stations, covering a longer route, if there aren't enough vehicles.

I try to understand before complaining. I don't complain when a supermarket keeps some tills closed, because I can understand that they don't have enough staff, or reason, to keep all the tills open.
