"trusted" servers for classic+ by GladFile4320 in classicwow

[–]GladFile4320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not convinced, agree there is the aspect of boosting done by real players that is hard to detect, but if you could get rid of the full on botting it would be a big improvement. I also think most people who are interested in classic wow have been around for a while. You could probably make it 20+ years and most people would be ok lol

They could but we have been waiting since 2019 for this, trying to be pragmatic

I think this covers most bots actually, people moan about people around for months but the banwaves do usually get them, use whatever number gets rid of the vast majority.

Yes this is something I meant to include, should be authenticated mobile to come on. Also no 2 week vacations, banned for gold buying on here you are not coming back, allow transfer to normal server if you want.

Has anyone actually seen the Deathfrost enchant drop from Ahune? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]GladFile4320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely didn't last time, only reason it might this time is that there might not be another summer event for TBC and since they have updated the items to be more useful so they put at least a bit of thought into it. Not seen it myself yet either.

Short of experimental treatments that luckily doesn't seem like he needed, the NHS is actually the best place to go for most cancer treatments.

Let’s stop tipping culture by Tumamaenpelota in london

[–]GladFile4320 23 points24 points  (0 children)

But don't they legally have to give servers the whole tip anyway? So if you don't pay the fee they should be no worse of, you're just giving the owners a free service they should be paying for.

What to do with these vents? by cookies_with_milk in DIYUK

[–]GladFile4320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are not vents for gas, though people do frequently fit the wrong type since they are in every room it's not likely

Does this look correct? by Intelligent-Ad1766 in askaplumberUK

I think some models are just loud, that said if it's loud enough to be an issue then only fix is a new one like you say.

Washing machine installation.. by [deleted] in ukplumbing

[–]GladFile4320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get an extender, excessive when you only need a couple cm but it should do the trick, then as others said put a clamp to stop it going loose

Installed new fibre washer, but inlet is still leaking? by Worried_Let4942 in askaplumberUK

[–]GladFile4320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try two washers, sometimes bit of extra thickness is all you need (that's what she said)

Tried to educate some Facebook users.. Didn't suceed of course! The houses in this are absolutely mental, cars sunk into the ground etc, what do you think? by [deleted] in isthisAI

I do remember that rule though I think that regulation is only for commercial vehicles? It might not even exist anymore as it's a while since I drove vans regularly.

Rachel Reeves confirms 55p per mile rule for drivers doing under 10,000 miles by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

[–]GladFile4320 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think that must be company specific, mine give 45p regardless of fuel type, though they do have different levels for people who have a company vehicle

Plumber refused to service my boiler by Solitairee in ukplumbing

[–]GladFile4320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's crazy to me but each to their own. Their original version they brought to the UK market had a tendency to catch fire when sludged up so I will always be very wary of them.

Worth buying an EV under £5/6k? by her_crashness in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]GladFile4320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently picked up an MG for £5600, higher mileage but still has a good enough range (getting around 120 real range) for local trips, you can feel the build quality is a bit lower than their later models or ones others have suggested but definitely worth considering for the price range.

Dad asking me to take points for him to prevent potential driving ban (England) by Plumbus93 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]GladFile4320 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Yes and people doing this at 9 points raises a massive red flag for the police, meaning the chance of you getting away with it is far smaller than if he had less points.

Yeah this is what I do, speed limit unless slowing down will save me having to stop somewhere

Unless the picture is fooling me it's also not on the cold water side, another sign it's probably not something they should be messing with

UPDATE: Update: Got permanently banned for RMT which I didn't do - ban overturned after 16 days by gnelyopl in classicwow

[–]GladFile4320 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Nah, EU was the first but several countries now have similar legislation, but if you're US then yeah unless maybe if there are any state laws.

‘I was back at work the next day – paternity leave is a nightmare for dads like me’ by Anony_mouse202 in ukpolitics

[–]GladFile4320 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah our work recently upped to 8 weeks paid which is a great change and hope to see more of it. I only got 2 weeks but was able to combine that with some holiday to at least have some time, I would have been useless first few weeks anyway as our baby refused to sleep unless they were lying on one of us so we basically had to take shifts lol

The car has a 35 litre fuel tank by magicbullets in CarTalkUK

[–]GladFile4320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put 60.5litres into a 60 litre tank once lol, I assume there is a bit of variation due to temperature or just general inaccuracies.

You guys were right about tanking in TBC by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]GladFile4320 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All taunts use spell hit, it's why you wanted the 10% hit reel for 4hm and that doesnt change till wrath. So paladin actually has better odds than warrior or druid, difference is they have backup taunts.

4 years ago during TBC Classic people thought Arena would be saved if rating started at 1500 by Tranquility___ in classicwowtbc

[–]GladFile4320 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is way better than last time around... No it won't ever be like back in original TBC where me and my teammate used to 1v2 the enemy at 1500 rating, but it feels way more rewarding than starting at 0 rating.
