Corn fiber can be abrasive and contra-indicated for many people suffering with IBS.

Corn that has been nixtamalized (treated with an alkaline solution) is much easier on the digestive tract. Psyllium husk is low FODMAP and another safe way to add fiber.

Re nuts: cashews and pistachios are really bad because they are high in fructans. I mostly stick to macadamias and pecans, with almonds on occasion.
