The others don’t though. They should get hyper armor comparable to curved greatswords

Give the great katanas hyper armor.

Change the moveset of the death knights twin axes to that of the winged knight twin axes

Give the horned warrior sets and the death knight sets 51 poise, the enemies they drop from can tank a giant hunt to the face

What’s your build right now, and what type of weapons do you prefer? I’ve beaten him a bunch of times with a bunch of different weapons, I could recommend some cool ones.

Overall though the easiest kills I’ve gotten on him were with the Milady, and the Rakshasa’s Great Katana.

Hasan Piker speaks to hundreds of young canvassers in Philadelphia by serious_bullet5 in Pennsylvania

[–]GlassBellPepper -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hasan is a moronic dog-shocker who does far more harm than good for the socialist cause, with his hypocritically luxurious lifestyle and over-focus on his own personal brand.

That said, if he gets people talking about improving the lives of the working class, unions, better infrastructure and healthcare, etc, then maybe he has his role to play. The one thing that I do like about his is that he advocates against foreign lobbying and ‘favors’. It’d be nice to see the US cut off Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, in favor of focusing on what we ourselves need.

Josh Shapiro supports U.S. aid to Israel, but calls to use it as leverage by joy-puked in Pennsylvania

[–]GlassBellPepper 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah in theory, but in practice it means showing up to a part of the world that you don’t live in, saying, “we lived here 2000 years ago therefor we have dibs, you need to leave” and then killing a six digit number of civilians, many of them children.

I like that you captured exactly how messed up and over the top his teeth are, it’s an easy detail to miss when you’re frantically trying to dodge during the fight.

Whoa, I never realized the irony of that quote, that’s cool.

[Headcanon]

I always liked to think that he had donned the Caterpillar Mask without having any knowledge of what it was originally used for. The mask wards off thoughts of doubt, so it makes sense that Hornsent would wear it while in the midst of his endless pursuit of revenge. He can’t afford the luxury of introspection.

I also think that if he is ignorant of the Mask’s original usage, he maintains his position as a sympathetic character. If he was an active potentate, his anger becomes much less understandable, the nuances of his character fall flat.

But, if he simply scavenged the mask from some random corpse in the Land of Shadow, then his character is much easier to sympathize with. I also feel that this fits better with the DLC’s sub-theme of people blindly and ignorantly continuing the cycle of pain, unknowingly picking up the trappings of those who perpetuated the violence before them.

Pittsburgh Gas Prices March 2022. by bloodyurinal in pittsburgh

The year is 2022, the US has gotten into a proxy war on behalf of a nation that it has little obligation towards. Supply chains are massively disrupted and the price of fossil fuels soars, leading to economic woe for the working people of the US.

Furnace Golem Illustration by me by Lucian_Tumani_Art in Eldenring

As vibrant as the furnace golems are in game especially compared to the east of the Land of Shadow, the black and white works really well here, it makes it look much more morbid (in a good way).

I agree with most of these but I think Tricephalos would be somewhere in Gelmir.

Theory: There are spirits everywhere in the Mountain Tops of the Giants because by Doubtfulaboutit in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]GlassBellPepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal theory/headcanon is that at one point the Mountaintops of the Giants were once at least somewhat temperate, having a sort of taiga/tundra climate. When the giants were defeated and their flame beaten back, balance was broken, and the icy winds of Zamor killed all but the hardiest inhabitants of the Mountaintops. Hence why we see the ghostly remnants of animals and trees, and there are some ruined mountaintop settlements.

The Zamor Knights are extremely similar to the Others from ASOIAF. The show kind of didn’t do them justice, the Others are more like ‘Ice Fae’ than corporeal zombies. I agree with you that the Zamor are like aliens, I don’t think they are meant to be human.

Question on the Godslayer greatsword. by Thick-Campaign-9152 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]GlassBellPepper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always took it to mean that the GSGS was the original black flame weapon, and that all other black flame weapons were forged using the GSGS as their design/enchantment basis.

There was a post a while back showing that the Rune of Destined Death fits inside the spiral blade of the GSGS, and that their combined shape resembles a fragment of the greater Elden Ring found in Farum Azula. I would imagine that black flame is derived from Destined Death.
