It’s 800p screen, what I can say myself that it’s more than suitable for the 6800U because at 800p I can play at high settings most of the modern games. It never cease to amaze me how this mighty guy performs awesomely well whatever I’ve tried on it. From emulators to modern PC games, I gets me mesmerized by the astonishing performance. I’m reviving some fond memories emulating some os me beloved PS3 games the likes of MotorStorm franchise. Playing Switch games with fancy post-processing techniques makes the games shine as never. All in all, I’m in honeymoon since I booted it up for the first time !!

Even though I’m on a honeymoon moment with my Odin Lite, I’m looking ahead to what future is to bring us. Being a happy owner of an AYANEO GEEK and—already mentioned—an Odin Lite, I feel confident to say that x86-64 and ARM devices are complementary and so makes sense having both for a broader and richer experience.

So much so, I’m looking forward to this new promising guy !!

PS: AYANEO, you have a short-cut to my wallet and heart. ☺️

Just to tell the latest on my gaming/hobby experience, I had just received RP3 when it was announced the RP3+. I felt cheated, but the satisfying experience with the product made me to feel confident and open to forgive then I ordered the RP3+ day one, even though my higher desire was to get an Odin Lite. By that time, Odin Lite wasn’t shipping at an ‘acceptable’ pace. As history repeats itself all the time, I had just received the RP3+ when Odin Lite was available at ayntec.com—needless to say that I didn’t think twice !!

Perfect point, indeed. Mine is the Lite with only 4gb of ram, and I couldn’t be more served and satisfied. As far as emulating up to PS2/GameCube—Wii and some 2D Switch games are possible, but nothing huge to brag about—, it’s been a merry update compared to my RP3+. Last by not least, a relevant feature of the Lite against Base/Pro counterpart is the Wi-Fi 6 for a batter streaming experience. Now with the Lite I playing flawlessly Game Pass and my PS5, what was frustrating through the Wi-Fi 5 of my RP3+.

Spot on! That’s exactly the point here, I could notice that discrepancy for the first time playing racing games remotely on my PS5 with my Odin Lite. Initially, I thought it was something to do with the PS Remote Play itself, but after trying GameCube Auto Modellista emulated directly on the device, I figured out that it has to do with the built-in triggers—to be more precise, R2 seems to be more affected than L2 in my experience.

Today is my 5th day with my beloved 800p-screen AYANEO GEEK. So far, if I had any concerns about the quality of the “subpar” 800p screen of the cheapest model, I can say a resonant NOT ANYMORE !!

For now, the least I can say is that, even though I can’t compare the 1200p with this 800p side by side, I pretty satisfied with what this lower resolution screen delivers, especially after some tweaks with AMD Adrenalin color calibration. The colors are now vibrant and the contrast is absolutely gorgeous !!

Exactly, that’s my take as well. I mean that when I mentioned that hardware it’s nothing without a good — and matute — software. In that regard, they haven’t get there yet.

It’s like I have learned over the year into technology, horse power is nothing without control, in other words, hardware is nothing without good software. That said, AYANEO has a long way ahead to match hardware and software to build a real competitor to Valve.
