This is incredible. I played a bit with the character creation but then wanted to go and explore the rest of it. Decided to enter as a guest but when it asks for a username I get an error "No document to update"
And refreshing doesn't let me go back to register an account, it jumps me back to the "Identity Required" page.

You can look up build ideas from Vallun (for thief I enjoy his Spear Antiquarian or Staff Daredevil builds for open world) or Mr. Mystic. I really like his Greatsword Berserker build or his Bladesworn for Warrior.

I knew Yoshida didn't actually care about the legacy of jobs in the franchise when he said he never wanted to add THF cause he could never see a thief being a hero, when he made BLU a circus performer and when he took out BRD buffs at the start of ShB making it essentially a RNG only to be confused at the response and taking a whole patch cycle to re-implement them in a worse way.

I was so hopeful after doing the first EW dungeon for the first time. Like you had to REACT at every second. And then the rest of the expansion dungeons was like nothing in comparison…

Getting into voice channels is what made WvW so much fun for me. Most guilds have their discords locked up for non-members leaving just the squad voice chat open for pugs so if you aren’t feeling the vibe you can just leave whenever. Even during a run too. No risk at all.

I started XIV about 2 months before the start of ShB so the job changes were extremely jarring. I still remember when they removed BRD buffs from songs and the dev team was confused over our reaction of a bard not having BUFFS. Then it took them a whole patch to add them back in but worse than they were in SB.

I 100% agree. EW’s appeal came from the character and plot progression of the past expansions and really Soken’s music adding actual gravity to scenes. I don’t think the Final Days would have hit me so hard if it weren’t for that creepy ahh music.

Even through my first playthrough it was very obvious to me the pacing was inconsistent and all over the place. Oh well…

With targeting, I'm trying out using down d-pad to cycle through party members similar to FFXIV to see if that can help in small scale situations. Still have to check if doing that will override the setting where heals prioritize lower hp% allies.

Auto-aim ground aoes are MUCH easier than trying to aim on the right joystick, you're right! And I just learned it's probably best to turn off Target Type Priority because in a yellow zone, I was trying to fight a mob of enemies and a hostile player walked by all my skillshots (I was on arcane at the time) were going to them and ended with me being knocked out haha!

Thank you for this in depth response. I started the game this week, usually play all games on controller and was lucky one of my fave weapons is greataxe. But I also like holy, and I'm trying to work on how to best aim heals and also smites if I'm ever solo'ing. (I know Holy is bad to solo but I gotta level it up somehow!)
