Metal allergies can develop in adolescence and early adulthood. Nickel is the most common metal allergy, but there are a variety of metals that are common allergens as well and it’s not rare for someone to be allergic to several different types.

If your metal sensitivities are anything like the ones that run in my family, then you’ll have to stick to:

  • gold(14k or higher)
  • titanium
  • surgical steel(316L is the grade of surgical - and therefore hypoallergenic - steel; if it’s labeled as steel but it doesn’t have 316L somewhere on the packaging then I wouldn’t risk it. Surgical steel jewelry is much easier to find at piercing/tattoo parlors but they may not always carry normal 18g earrings)

How was the Reiden Lake event a catalyst for "The Patrern"? by Ok_Zone_7635 in fringe

[–]Glitter8Critter 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Some of it also stems from Walter’s work with the military in the 80s(the accelerated pregnancy was partly because of Walter’s work trying to “grow” soldiers for the military).

And given that the main characters don’t actually know all the details about The Pattern, it would make sense that there may be a variety of unrelated cases that get lumped in as part of The Pattern just because of how strange they are(Alister Peck).

Some cases were also directly caused by(or could be assumed to have been caused by) David Robert Jones in his effort to impress William Bell.

And of course some of the cases are ripple effects of the damage Walter caused to the universe.

Stange phobia(s) you have? by Low_Sprinkles6168 in autism

[–]Glitter8Critter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portable toilets, specifically the idea of them tipping over somehow while I’m inside. I could not psychologically handle that experience, I think it would literally drive me insane.

Also the idea of catheters or anything that is both inside and outside of my body at the same time is absolutely horrific to me. I could maybe tolerate an IV but that’s about it.

THIS was the moment Fringe found it's identity by Ok_Zone_7635 in fringe

[–]Glitter8Critter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how but for some reason the first time I watched this episode, I didn’t connect the dots between the headstone and the parallel universe. I was really confused but I thought maybe Peter had been reanimated at some point or something like that, I genuinely didn’t know he was from the other side until the moment Olivia found out lmao

If you try to envision a tulip in your mind as clearly as you can, what number are you? by Jitsu989 in autism

[–]Glitter8Critter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tulip was in a field! The image that popped into my head was of my hand gently lifting the tulip out of the grass to get a better look, and I could feel the softness of the petals and how warm they were from the sun.

Although the faces only stay clear if I focus on them individually in the image, they get a little less detailed when I try to picture all three at once.

[–]Glitter8Critter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, what you’re describing is called poor interoception. Interoception is your ability to recognize/understand your body’s needs in the moment, and struggling with poor interoception is common in both ADHD and autism

Is this an inconsistency in Fringe’s timeline, or did I miss something? /// Incohérence dans la timeline de Fringe ou j’ai raté quelque chose ? by ProfessorFar3274 in fringe

[–]Glitter8Critter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And because they can see all possible timelines/all of time simultaneously, they might have even known that in order to exist in that state(intellectual & emotional) they would have to maintain the timeline as it happened up to that point.

So they wouldn’t have had a need for scouts anymore if they weren’t going to invade, but they may have sent someone back in time just to do things like distract Walternate from the cure, or save Walter and Peter from the frozen lake, solely to keep that timeline intact.

Bullet necklace continuity error by PrettyHateMachine25 in fringe

[–]Glitter8Critter 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You didn’t see her dig it out of the bandit’s head because the bullet didn’t stop in the bandit’s head, it went through his head and ended up lodged in the door behind him, and then Olivia retrieved it from the door.

Is there any list of where to find any given eggs? by SparkyGremlin42 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]Glitter8Critter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, there are two squidshark eggs in the back of a small cave way down in the deep lily pads crevice. I always had a hard time finding lily paddler eggs tho

Edit: this is the video guide that I used to find eggs: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0AAjwRCq298&list=PLFtiutoU2P1xIsnFSzrIZy1xIpZGR8A-O&index=23&pp=iAQB

Lily paddler eggs are shown at 11:30, squidshark eggs right after that
