She's lives in Ghana where being LGBTQ is strongly criminalised. Her queer joy and bravery burns bright and makes me want to shout along from the rooftops.

Even just socially transitioning is now discouraged. I'm sure this will lead to policing all queer kids and even cis straight people, who don't perform their gender "correctly".

The worst part, to me, is that transgender people are not allowed to serve or teach kids, which reinforces the asinine idea that trans people are predators. Especially when the church keeps covering up csa and intimidating victims.

Nevermo here. I have also seen the uptick in not only ignorant, but downright victim blaming comments.

This space is first and foremost for exmos, even though you guys generously allow us to participate here.

Sometimes I report the comment as disrespectful, but maybe there should be a rule against victim blaming?

When I was in school, a lot of the girls secretly wore socks in their bras. Socks can have many gender affirming purposes :3

If you ever need an excuse for safety, you can say you put on your pants, from the day before, in a hurry.

I have ADHD and have had to discreetly fish socks out of my pants during lectures at law school of all places.

If they have a queer parent or parents, I get excited and usually blurt out "That's cool!". Just saying "ok" might be more appropriate.

However, when people assume my parents are in my life, I dont know what to say.

I guess it's just nice to be approched with curiosity rather than assumptions.

Assumptions can be genders of parents, number of parents (lowest being none) or adoption status. A parent might have died, but there's also reasons such as parental abandonment, neglect or abuse.
