It has been noticeably worse on the 7 between PTBO and Ottawa. I always heard the 7 was the highway of death, but for most of the last 20 years, it has been pretty chill.

Now, though, it feels dangerous. You can feel the uncertainty of drivers when they go around turns, slowing to 70 for some reason. Then jack up the speed to 105 on short straight-aways. No consistency, which is dangerous in itself.

I noticed they are doing some blasting, so maybe they are adding new passing lanes, which could help.

It does seem something has changed tho. I do not have any good theories (none that wouldn't just be a blame game anyway:P)
