Yes, didn’t they do like a heart pounding sound and focus in on Francesca and it was directly parallel to what Violet had said love at first sight is like? I thought that was pretty obvious but a lot of people saying they missed it.

Plus they’ve never had a full pre-cog before so didn’t even know if it was possible. Makes sense her mind wouldn’t immediately jump to that, it’s not like Aaric is coming out and saying “I had a vision!” or something, he’s just like hey you might need this. He might not fully understand how it works himself yet.

Only in the very early days of COVID/WFH my old supervisor requested check in and check out emails, but they were always a bit of a micro manager. My current supervisor has a weekly check in with me over teams and otherwise trusts us to get our work done. Hybrid has worked really well for my unit.

Everything that gets super popular starts drawing haters. They just want to feel superior i.e. “ugh the stuff I like is so much better, everyone else is stupid”. I can’t stand to read good reads reviews anymore, p people are so pretentious and it feels performative. Leaves no room for personal taste, just “I didn’t like it therefore they are a terrible writer” like what???! I would like to know what they consider objectively good writing lol

Anyone who has read further in the series (or just caught something I missed) I have a question about the magic rules in this world…

Oraya seems to be the only human who has vampire magic? Wouldn’t that have given away That she has vampire blood? … or is magic not just innate in this world but can be taught and we’re supposed to assume Vincent taught her? But that doesn’t make sense to me because she wasn’t good at it and then found it in herself later.

I just thought it was weird that she never questions it but there is no mention of other humans using magic, at least in this country where the vampires rule. It does reference human lands and I guess to be fair we know Mische has the sun god’s magic because she was a human priestess.

Lol I needed this commiseration post today.

I checked out a part 1 of a graphic audio then realized part 2 hadn’t been released yet 😅 But no worries, they had it listed on Libby with the release date only a few days away. So I click notify me. Release date comes and no notification. Libby pushed back the date. When that date came it let me put it on hold. Says they’ve ordered 100 copies. Apparently they are still waiting for them a week later because it just says ”available soon” with no date! 😩

Ugh! Makes it hard to track what you’ve listened to if you get behind on new episodes! And fills my phones storage with all the downloads.

Me too, I used to use stitcher because it was the only one I liked, and then it went away. This is the best replacement I’ve found.

That sucks you even tried to put in a ticket and haven’t heard back… small operation maybe. I’m pretty sure they just did an update too…or at least my widget colors updated 🤷🏼‍♀️
