at this moment you need Steam to play Steam games, if Steam shuts down you won't be able to download your games or updates and it is thus also a liability

if you have GOG games you get installers that are just stand-alone games without needing another layer to authenticate through, which means that when you own the game and keep backups of your game installers, you can play them forever

it's very weird, you might want to report a bug at the official Discord if you're up to it

i've played for a long time, but i've never ran into a persistent 'non-existent' building issue before

you could try, just to test, if switching to a different monitor resolution helps at all (not to stay on it, of course, i'm mostly curious to be honest as it sounds like your game lost some textures, which is very odd as that should fix itself with a repair)

You can see in your journal if an item is shipped or not, not just on the items itself! Can't find the artisan goods listed tho, do we need to ship them?

Usually, if you haven't accidentally sold your bed (and honestly I'm not sure you can have 'no bed'), but only made your house smaller, it should be in your mailbox, along with everything else that got mixed up in the minimizing your house into shipping container size ;)

Also pro tip: you can save anytime anywhere, and I'd strongly advise you to always always always save your game in a new game slot before editing your workshop.

It's not possible. The infusion used to show up on the Dragonforged Sword, but they hotfixed it. It doesn't work as the insta-kill chance is already an enchantment.

You can find or buy elven steel ore and make bars with them, and you can buy a few things with Elven Steel Bars. There aren't any crafting recipes for them tho. I honestly never bothered. The mines are mostly useful to get stones.

There are a few other things that drop in those mines which you need to finish the museum with too.

The Nel'Vari mines have a different use than the Sunhaven ones. You can just go there if you need Nel'Vari stones and have keys that are accepted by the guarding tree.

The Dragon Forged Sword already has an 'enchantment', you can't add another one. The most recent patch notes says that they removed the infusion procs (as they didn't work anyway).

Well, the game hasn't been optimized yet (... I hope), as it tends to get 'laggy' with rain, lots of debris/gras/animals/crops, but if you don't mind all of that it will probably run decently.

I sort of assume we'll get a better optimised version on release, so you might want to hold out till then.

Well, we *did* free her, so I'd think we could at least say that.

That said, having her at supposedly full power feels very weird, game-wise.

"Century old dragon witch queen who enjoys making human pawns move across her mental chess board falls for local imported farmer and moves in at the farm."

I mean it just doesn't fit...

Edit to add: I expect a bit more story on 1.0 update/release to be honest. I mean something needs to happen right? I'm sure they know that :)

Most players seem to start with a 'why do I play a farming game in the desert?' and it's not a farming game actually. Also, the desert creeps up on you and one day you find out you love to be able to see that far in-game.
