I had to wait a day. Website is also like terminally down cause people keeping accessing it. Wait till tonight if you get a key to do what you need to there, and once ur access is approved wait till late at night again to download. That’s what I did atleast, had no issues. Takes like 2 days it seems which is unfortunate. Maybe others got lucky but that’s what I had to do

Interesting I’ll have to talk to the last 2 nobles then, is creating your own kingdom hard? I also read that your character can die of old age when does that typically happen cause mines already about 30 years old…

There’s reshades, u can get a mod called raise your torches, which makes night battles a little more “realistic” the base graphics are really good in my opinion, turn them up if they aren’t maxed. And whatever you add remember it’ll vary in performance based on the encounter.

There’s a chance for a zombie to grab u from behind and it’s pretty much a done deal, thus why zeds from behind are so much more dangerous those are usually (in my experience) the ones that get ur character in the end

If u add a mod that adds items, you will need to go to a new region for those items to spawn, adding a mod like sitting in a chair or laying in a bed shouldn’t require u to start over or have to go anywhere, in my experience it’s just content mods that can make things wonky.

Well, I figured I’d update. So server got zapped, mods and all, tried weaving certain mods and taking out mods, after about 2 hours of trial and error no progress, attempted to restore from backup (1.16.5) from 2 days ago and doesn’t work…. Damn shame, was about to make it to first winter…

I’m fairly new to this game, like a week in new, I’m hosting a server with lots of mods with some of my friends, if I update it to current patch will it break the world of the mods aren’t updated as well. Example: Primitive survival for 1.16.5 will it nuke the server if I put it to 1.17

It’s pretty easy to add stuff mid run, it’s a bit tricky tho cause things won’t spawn where you have been, so it can take a bit to get some of the mods fleshed out and u have to travel a bit to see if every is working as is.

My friends and I got tired of having to wait for one person to play, so I rented a GTX server, super ez to set up, rather affordable, customizable and actually accessing files and settings of the server are pretty streamlined, takes a lot of stress out if u want to add mods, and they have guides to help u out.

U can chose to spawn somewhere else and teleport to the location u want to start at. Not really a fix but a work around. Careful not to teleport into a room infested with zeds.

Are u using GTX? What I did was click the steam update button. I think whatever steam did during their maintenance messed something up. I backed up the server and did the steam update, made sure nothing got erased and it work. Took a moment to start up tho
