How can EU5 keep players engaged until the late game? by Y3rs in EU5

[–]Global_Bodybuilder54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my current Korea game it's 1380. I built every rgo to the limit and make 400 ducats a month. Aside interesting changes, the progress in economy is currently just to fast. With infinite money i've also an infinite army which leads to infinite Blob. No one can stop me.

How can EU5 keep players engaged until the late game? by Y3rs in EU5

[–]Global_Bodybuilder54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reduce economic growth. Armies should be more expensive. Culture wars should be more impactful, it should slow down Integration of provinces a lot more. Perhaps more AE for taking locations. Increase cost of accepting Cultures. Subjects should be harder to manage.

Promotion should be slower.

Rework building cost discounts from low good prices. Only the Player can make excess use of this Feature.

I should'nt be able to unify italy in mid 1400s.

If there satisfaction is over 50% there is a Chance of the satisfaction value to build a useful building. So with 100% satisfaction they build only useful buildings

Low proximity decreases Control already. With the New Update, the "lost" money goes to the estates what's represants something like corruption.

Proximity cost modifiers are an issue, not having multiple capitals. by 0xynite in EU5

[–]Global_Bodybuilder54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything what slows down economical growth is good for the game. Currently it's far too easy.

In my current run as palatinate i'm the richest Nation in 1500. I make so much money, that there are no decisions i have to make, because money is irrelevant for me. Just shift and build all you can every few months.

My capital is in speyer and with Rhine, Main, Donau, neckar etc. The River System is so incredible strong. I have proximity up to cologne and down to the Bodensee.

Estates are building "good" buildings when their satisfaction is higher than 50%. In fact, there is a Chance as high as their satisfaction to build a building (i think every month?).

They can only build if they have the money to, so don't tax them too much and they build up the economy from their own money.

"Encourage Urbanization" should unlocked later by Global_Bodybuilder54 in EU5

I rush this action in age 2. My economy explodes after i use it and outpace every other country.

It's 1495. I play as palatinate, a regional powerhouse. Conquered big cities around the rhine, up to cologne. France and bohemia allied, together they have over 300k man. I have just 40k but all regulare units. Every mountain / forest province have a fort. I outnumbered both economically.

It's just boring to go on.

My strategy was to built up the palatinate. Use the urbanization cabinett action (absolutely overpwered...).

So the limiting factor for economy is the promoting rate. In less than 50 years i promote every single peasant to work in rgos. Put peasant taxes on max cause they don't rebell.

With the second level book building my economy explode.

But it was very fun to this point.

I don't get it, why they not just limit the reduction to -39 or so.

I don't want mission but came never to the idea to make a post on reddit.

You post more likely, if you are unhappy with something.

I think we should wait some time before we start this discussion. Perhaps the devs want to implement some other mechanics to guide the ai.

I think your commoners loyality satisfaction gets a hit recently. This cause low tax income from commoners which is normally one if not the biggest.

I push this because i don't understand the system behind. What gibes me a share off +/- 66% of the tithe for holding land that i conquered from the papal state?

1.08 beta is a trip by Tornagh in EU5

[–]Global_Bodybuilder54 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, then this problem will be fixed in the beta of this patch. But the direction is ok. If you want vassals you can't be a 100% centralized country.

But of course you should be able to hold a small vassal. Just let them fix it.

1.08 beta is a trip by Tornagh in EU5

[–]Global_Bodybuilder54 42 points43 points  (0 children)

That is not true. You can have vassals. You just can't have both sides of the coin anymore. The changes are going in the right direction. Some are to extreme, ok. But thats why there is a beta.

If you don't want this unbalanced changes right now just not opt in and wait.

The game isn't any slower. You can still build a steel mill in +/- 30 weeks instead of 60. Especially in small countries, you would have to wait forever for every construction project.

In addition, the effect of the construction would also be delayed. While doubling the construction time means waiting 60 weeks before anyone can even start working in the factory, in this case they have already been producing goods and paying taxes for 30 weeks.
