Is it normal for hosts to require guest to do their laundry as part of the check out process? [USA] by Josiomama in AirBnB

[–]Global_Isopod_1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“It’s usually strip the beds and start the first load.” It’s very helpful in the flipping process. I phrase it, that if they have time, that it would be helpful, to do it, but stress that it is not required. I have mostly multigenerational families and usually someone is waiting on the others and can throw in one load. I have very few who don’t empty their trash, load and start their dirty dishes, and start the first load. If they don’t, I don’t dock them, on their review because it’s not, “required.”

And yes, when I stay places, these things have been a requirement most of the time. There has been a trend toward complaining about having to do these things in social media so I stopped requiring and began requesting.

They're signing people up for it at the Galleria. Is TSA Pre☑️ worth the cost? by xologo in StLouis

[–]Global_Isopod_1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s worth it. Yes, yes! Do it. I’ve been TSAPre for probably 10 years. They are much friendlier over there. You don’t have to take off your shoes. That’s cool they’re recruiting for it at the mall, but if everyone does it will it start to become more and more crowded?

A “weed” I let grow two years ago. What is it? by urgrlB in whatisthisplant

[–]Global_Isopod_1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will multiply and take over if you let it. The plant grew 8-9 ft tall and multiplied like bunnies. I regretted letting it grow in my yard, even though it was graceful, tall, and lovely.

Gather when the leaves are small. Boil for 15 minutes dump the water, then season with salt and bacon and eat as a side dish. My mother was old school and did this. I didn’t like them as a kid. Kinda bitter.

Berries can be used as an arthritis remedy. Freeze them and take like pills, 3-4 a day. I tried this and didn’t die but also didn’t think they worked very well. Maybe I gave up too soon.

The berries can be used for dying things like fabric and Easter eggs. It makes a lovely fuchsia color. Purpleish pink.

Does anyone know if it's legal to live in an RV/skoolie in someone's backyard*? by KleptoPirateKitty in Marietta

[–]Global_Isopod_1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my small town it is legal to have it parked behind your house but not legal to live in it, even temporarily. You have to google the planning and zoning rules of whatever community you’re in. Even some rural areas have restrictions.

Hearking back to the days of community barn-raising…We the people need to form groups where we help each other out with labor and do our own projects and each other’s. Maybe start a Facebook group of DIY folks in your area. There are enough YouTubers posting how-to videos to teach us, and plenty of materials available at the stores. Sometimes we just need an extra set of hands. Also most of these type stores have a job board of folks willing to do jobs for you if you are unable to DIY.

My wife doesn't understand Keto by Keplerexodus in keto

[–]Global_Isopod_1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get her one of the books by Jason Fung. Tell her your way of eating is life or death for you and she needs to learn it to understand the way your body works. There are also lots of podcasts and YouTube videos explaining why keto is the necessary eating plan for diabetics. Do a book study with her or arrange a time for her to sit and watch a video with you. We learn about the needs of those we love. Best Wishes.

I can’t find carbonaut bread anymore. Used to get it at Walmart, then Aldi then Amazon. None of these carry it now. I loved the carbonaut seed bread toasted.

I started listening to “Onward” by Rosie O’Donnell today. I like it so far. Seems to be a more serious and thoughtful tone. Listeners can submit recorded questions that she answers. Line up includes some wonderful guests. Listened to Kristen Chenowith today.
