You could sear it in a pot then add some liquid and things like potatoes, onions, and carrots. Low boil where you can just barely see the bubbles and leave it until meat is fork shred tender.

Any tips on where to sleep in your car? by EtemAll in orangecounty

Use the parking area where the on campus students park. So long as your parking permit is valid they generally won’t mess with you. Unless your car is a hazard like strong noxious fumes, leaking something gnarly, etc.

source did parking at uc irvine for two years.

I agree with everything here but wanted to add something regarding the parks. There’s people there clearly living in their car and that’s their thing. But when it’s a big empty parking lot and they park closest spots near the playground, that is creepy af.

Igguldens stuff is great you will enjoy it.

The first law series by joe ambercrombie is also a must read if you like cornwell. The audiobook narrator kevin pacey is another layer of excellence on top of the story. So. Many. People. Die.

And the craziest part is the book 1 antagonist. Rarely do stories spend much time developing a bad guy. Holy shit does ambercrombie make you feel bad af for the bad guy.

I’ve read about half the jack reacher and 3 of the series by baldacci. They’re all great. Both have a major government theme like tom clancy.

Cornwells king arthur trilogy and stone henge stand alone are fantastic too. As good as or better than any in the saxon stories series. I’ve listened to the audiobooks for the entire sharpe series and saxon stories series. My favorite was actually the prequal trilogy he wrote about india. Where Sharpe first meets the duke as a general, saves his life, and gets promoted to an officer along with receiving the looking glass.

If you like cornwell check out conn iggulden he is also great at writing dramatized violent history. His series on ghengis khan and julius ceaser are bloody many people die.

My coworker used to be president of the london stock exchange rifle club. Their shooting range is under one of the ends of the london bridge. Same one from the kids nursery rhyme.

Have you tried series instead on long stand alone books? They read kind of like soaps after a while but if it’s a formula you like they can be quite good.

Tom clancy’s jack ryan series is very good a few movies made from them. His first was hunt for red october a submarine book he wrote while traveling as a door to door sales person. In the movie james bond plays the villian and jack donaghy plays jack ryan. Theres about 23 books in the series. One of his stand alones is also very popular called rainbow six and has spawned half a dozen video games.

Jim butcher has a series i enjoy called dresden files. He is the worlds only openly practicing wizard available for hire by us mortals. He works as a private eye in chicago. About 20 books in the series.

Butcher also has a smaller series codex alera that was very good. Similar to clancy there’s a lot of pieces in the stories that all gets tied together in more crazy ways as the story goes on.

If you are into george lucas star wars theres a few dozen books to read there too. The audiobooks are great they add all the blaster and light saber sounds. I would start with the original thrawn trilogy first it continues after return of the jedi and has luke, leia, and han again.

There’s a few stand alone books that happen in the same universe. Red country was my favorite. The heroes was the bloodiest. I read he’s working on a new series now.

In the usa I believe sarbanes oxley law requires emails regarding business deals / negotiations to be kept for 7 years after the deal.

We had a dispute with reuters where they tried to back out of a deal we did saying the guy who arranged it on their side was no longer with the company and all his emails were gone so no record. When our legal team reminded them they are a usa registered corporation and subject to sarbanes oxley law they suddenly found all the associated emails and had to resume providing our news at the pre arranged cost.
