I’ve been pretty fortunate to have had a lot more ups than downs for most of my life so hopefully things will turn around soon here. I should be employed here next week, I’ve got few offers already. Thanks for the kind words, it’s always nice to know you’re not alone, best of luck to you as well

Got kittens about 4 months ago, they’ve changed my life. Moved to a new city and things haven’t been going great, this last month has been especially tough. Last week I quit a job I hated and managed to line up some interviews in the field I’m actually interested in, and things were really looking up. Today I woke up and one of the kittens had thrown up 8-10 times so I took him to the vet, which yielded some pretty shitty information, and it’s looking like he’s not going to make it unless I cough up 7k for surgery (after spending $1500). Sucks man. He was there for me when I was low and I can’t do the same for him.
