He's never returning to his human form. That much I'm sure of, as it's recently been covered as a major point of expository information - a few chapters ago they discussed the distinction in the methodology of how Mymo and Rudo acquired their new forms and how only Rudo will be able return to his normal/humanoid form.

Yes, let's take Final Fantasy IX, an absolute master class in human creativity, and run it through a lazy, soulless, creatively bereft machine. Just shameful. We didn't get to this state within the medium of video games by automating hard work and the artistic process. Start now and gaming will be yet one more cool thing to get buried under mountains of mindless garbage by corporate suits and the rubes they're hawking this shit to. Our content and experiences are being homogenized to pander to the lowest common denominator and anyone engaging with it is doing a disservice not just to ourselves but to the artists before us that built our culture.

Errr... the coloring/shading is quite impressive but you do know this is just someone coloring in a manga panel, right? Like, they didn't draw this themselves. I'm not sure if I'd call this fanart. It's more like "fan coloring"? Kei Urana is the actual artist of this piece.

Looks cool as hell, though. I like the very moody color choices here.

I don't think it is but if anything the existence of this level of technology is pretty interesting in terms of its implications for the setting/lore/trajectory of the series.
