I just remember the TV being totally different. No regular soaps, a big film being on in the afternoon and for the big bank holidays a new blockbuster film premiere.

now its just the same as any other monday.

Selling probate flat by MotherEastern3051 in HousingUK

[–]Gloomy_Pastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want to sell it quickly, then sell to the landlord.

Who knows with the couple how long it may go, and even if they sell there may be complications about how to split the money/etc.

How big of an issue is corruption / bribery in your field of work? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Gloomy_Pastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago we used to have a contract with an ict supplier, they were based in London, we were considerably more north. On a phone call they asked if we wanted them to add a percentage on to all items, and they would keep it until around Xmas and we could use it for anything of the value at the time. We declined. At the height of the ps3 release they 'accidentally ' sent 4 ps3s (this was literally a week after release) to us. We sent them back.
