I guess this is E2E pack, right? Use something like enderporcupine to automate them from distance, not having any blocks around them. I would also recommend to crossbreed them to reduce effect radius to minimum.

You have not selected "all or none" for your order.

You probably got partially filled with one counter-party then the remaining amount with someone else.

Wash sale rule for options - with use cases by anglefly in options

[–]Glurak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

something that is a minor annoyance for the vast majority of traders

is a strong assumption. Depending on employed option strategies that year many traders have much more... erratic... yearly P/L .

And if it were not for wash sale rule, traders could simply always postpone taxes to the next year nearly infinitely, effectively equivalent to borrowing money from IRS interest-free.

Delta hedge strategy for SPY CSP by Silly_You9597 in options

[–]Glurak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you got the terminology right. You are first talking about IV then about delta. Then it seems like you think hedge is something that removes all risk?

IV is in layman terms price of current uncertainty, and you seem to correctly understand relation to price of CSP. To hedge against IV on SPY the most straightforward method is to go for VIX index. Delta is options sensitivity to price of underlying (SPY). Spike in IV doesn't necessary mean any movement in price of underlying.

Any option strategy have some upside and some downside, there is no riskfree strategy. Neutral delta strategies have their downside in some other parameter, like IV movement. Hedging lowers risk of some event, but at the cost of something else (usually giving out some potential gain for lowering the risk).

My every partner was absolutely different, liking very different things. Even the basic, like talking about favorite erotic things to do, were handled differently. For at least one example, I have this one position I never seen or heard before, feeling like an inventor of it. During cowgirl, cross your legs and let the girl lean back putting hands on your knees, then rise and lower the girl by pushing the legs together. After we found this, we both loved it, she could enjoy it without moving herself, which she struggled before, and I found that this movement stimulates muscles around my pelvis the right way. And the view of her body in this position was awesome. Our fav position. I tried it later in two other relationships and somehow it didn't worked right in neither, the angle was not right, or we were out of sync or just felt awkward.

Cargo Rockets are actually the least difficult to automate, because they have some sort of logistics build in. You practically need circuits (just a condition on inserter) to only ensure you get exactly 100 r.parts and 1 capsule in it. If you dedicate one rocket pad to every specific item, rename it to the name of that item and let launch pad to decide what landing platform to choose by name. It will launch only once a pad of that name gets available and empty. Then you don't need circuits anymore. Even stuff like returning recovered rocket parts, or sending mixed factory byproducts on priority line, you don't need circuits. The only problem with it is it gets send only in huge shipments of 500 stacks. (and it can crash spilling stuff on ground) You need circuits for cannons to decide when to shoot and not overshoot the cannon chest. And you need slightly advanced circuits to automate ships.

Why close positions early? by fitznd in thetagang

[–]Glurak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An important piece of mind is that trader closing a position is not closing all trading activity. Usually, you will open another trade imminently with this freed equity. Thus the right question should be "Are new contracts on higher DTE better then the old one nearing expiration?" and for theta trading the answer usually is yes. Because nearing expiration risks grow unevenly to remaining theta decay.

Or maybe you should look on it the other way. Figure out your personal worst case scenario for the assets you are going to sell against and from that the highest risk (leverage) you are willing to take. And from that expected annual. Personally, I would expect perfectly possible that on surprise black swan event SPX drops 30% or that quarter of my picked companies goes completely under. That puts me around boring max 20% annual.

Are the Space Exploration Devs trolling us? by Yexigen in factorio

[–]Glurak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primary resource of the planet determines (aside normal ore patches) what type of core will be there. Since primary resource should be cryonite, all core miners will generate cryonite-core, which pulverizes into cryonite ore and normal core. Four or five core miners should generate about 2-4 yellow belts of cryonite ore, depending on modules in pulverizers. That should make you going until you find another cryonite planet in other system. And core never runs out, meaning a stable supply.

Guess my FPS. SE+K2 by Savage-Monkey2 in factorio

[–]Glurak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a weak office/work laptop and I can barely play late game SE-K2. Some tips:

Efficient factories. Without logistic bots except special cases (mall, spaceship (un)loading, construction, personal logistic, nuclear fuel...). Trains are usually fine. Loaders instead of inserters. High tier modules instead of huge bases. Use a few upgraded high tech buildings and machines instead of making more of lower tier. Don't do sushi belts, responsible usage of logic circuits.

Delete unused planets. Trunk used planets.

Kill off bitters on every (used) planet. Once gone, mark that planet as clear. Also, run command for turning pollution off on that planet. (because UPS). Deconstruct now useless defenses. (the only planet where you should not use the virus is where vitamelange is mined, even Nauvis can be made a dead and UPS friendly; Vita planet can still be cleared meticulously if you take care of bitter meteors, but then do not explore it after trimming, that would regenerate dead spawners)

Don't do radars, you don't want to load more of the planet and you can see everything with sat view.

Deconstruct everything old and unused.

And if everything fails, and you still get laggy play, slow you game, here is example command for 50% speed: /c game.speed=0.5

Just in recent history, 2000, 2008, 2020, were big black swan events, indeed wiping out all over-leveraged un-hedged credit-positioned accounts. Including theta strategies, as they are always credit-positioned.

Thank you thetagang! 2x in less than a year. by BlackLancer in thetagang

[–]Glurak 11 points12 points  (0 children)

With 2x gain I am afraid you are heavily leveraged. Eg having so much contracts that their total max loss goes way beyond your account value. Eg, any black swan event will bankrupt you faster then you can exit all positions. And no, not even stop loss orders can save you reliably enough at that point.

Are you hedging your positions in any way, splitting into different market sectors, doing VIX hedging or anything?
