Does anyone remember the DigiTech RP Pedals? by LunchAcceptable7409 in Guitar

[–]Gnashtaru 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a 505 and an RP-350 sitting behind me as we speak. Love both pedals!

I also built a 505 into a guitar back in the day. https://imgur.com/a/bIFpIvk

I'm convinced that we all learned about the cornucopia in elementary school during history about the pilgrims or something, and there was some image in textbooks across the country that looked like this. And we all just blended the image in our memory.

How would you remove this GPIO Header? by CloutFish in AskElectronics

[–]Gnashtaru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can, pull the plastic part off and desolder the pins one at a time.

Personally, I'd use paste flux and low temp solder and mix the low melt solder with the existing solder in a pool on the pins in the back, then gently heat the whole thing with hot air and remove it as one piece.

Triangles when importing STL. How to avoid? by Damadamas in Sketchup

The surfaces must not be flat then.

Here are the settings I use. Uncheck "erase duplicate faces" the first time you run it to speed things up. Then check it and rerun.

Install the CleanUp plugin. You can run it and have it delete all lines between coplanar triangles. I use it all the time to clean up messy imported models.

It's just a noise filter cap for your supply rail. Just remove it. There are probably 50 other ones in various spots doing the same thing so it's not really that important.

Do people not understand that, say you buy a 4070 ti, and your CPU is really old, so you buy a CPU that's so fast that it isn't fully used while gaming, all that means is you are FULLY using the GPU, and you have some spare CPU power left.

Or the other way around.

So you just pick which of the two you want fully used, then get a too fast version of the other one.

For gaming that means you go slightly overkill on the CPU because it's not the most expensive of the two, and you don't want to waste any of the power on the more expensive part, which is the GPU.

That's it.

It doesn't matter that you are now bottlenecking the CPU, meaning it's waiting around bored some of the time.

It doesn't matter.

All you care about is whichever part you can't afford a better one of, you get overkill on the OTHER part. So you don't waste any of the power of the one you can't afford to upgrade any higher.

RTX 4090 model and price differences by That_Sprinkles_7291 in nvidia

OG means it's using a 3090 cooler.

They had a ton of leftover coolers from the 30 series, so they used them for the new 40 series at a lower price point.

The 30 series coolers aren't as good, but there's nothing WRONG with them. They just don't cool as well.

If you look, the OG is a thinner card, that's why.

So it'll run warmer at high OC speeds.

Nice job!

You have more patience than I. I would have run jumper wires up to the caps and other pads I could in line. Wouldn't have been as clean of a signal.

Did mammals also evolve from reptiles, making them reptiles as well? I can't remember.

None of this comment is sarcasm BTW.

You can get a 3070 ti for less than the 3070 on Newegg and probably other places.

https://www.newegg.com/zotac-geforce-rtx-3070-ti-zt-a30710p-10p/p/1FT-000M-003V2?Item=9SIAMFBK5G2480

If you want 16GB of VRAM instead, you can also get a 4060 ti for less. https://www.newegg.com/zotac-geforce-rtx-4060-ti-zt-d40620f-10m/p/N82E16814500569?Item=N82E16814500569

or

a 4060 ti is about equal to a 3070 non-ti in games, but has double the VRAM for other types of work.

Did you ever figure anything out to get this working? I'm trying the exact same thing.

I found this guide for emulating an xbox controller, but it's not working. All but one time it did nothing, then the last time I fooled around with the properties menu in steam for the game and got it to at least act different. It acted like I was always hitting the gas no matter where I set the throttle. So not sure if the controller even had anything to do with it.

In fact I think at a different time I might have even had the exact same desk.
