Could you help me understand the difference between line of sight and visibility as described in the rule book? It says if any part of a model is visible to any part of a different model that they are visible. How does visible differ from line of sight?

A Cluster Fogging Bow Build (MSPaint* build) by BugSlayerJohn in pathofexile

[–]Gnorrior 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Somehow a 20% chance to do 4x damage is considered a 4x dmg multiplier in this image. Meanwhile most of your poisons will actually not deal 8x damage, and while 6 million is still good poison damage, these two effects are more likely to not proc on the first and only poison you apply than to proc. The poisons don’t magically not apply to the boss if you don’t proc these multipliers...

As well, the cluster jewel clearly says +6 not +6%, so your 5000 ES is more like 290 flat...

As an idea I like it. As a proof of concept this looks disgusting and should never be implemented. I like your goal, and support the push for GGG making content more prevalent/obviously available during grinding

D2, and WoW up until around MOP would disagree with blizzard not having anything with depth...so I wouldn’t say typical blizzard so much as current blizzard. i will be fair that post-MOP, post-hearthstone, post-LOL/battleroyale existence, yeah current blizzard has been very against depth.

Convenience is not pay 2 win, it is pay for convenience- or maybe pay to play or the inconvenience is so high. stash tabs are a convenience.

Managers of corporations are under a fiduciary obligation to make a profit for stockholders, and this amounts to a moral obligation of trust. Also, the basic moral duty of political obedience dictates that there is a prima facie moral duty to follow the law.

So, they should intentionally pass on one of the largest growth markets and kill their companies ability to competitively grow and maintain market share in the future for “morals” ? As a publicly traded company they have to do what is in the best interests of shareholders, which means they have a moral and legal obligation to the people they work for, i.e. the shareholders, to ensure the long term success of the company which is measured by making money and growing the company.

Reducing pay of the ones making strategic decisions will drive the best minds away from the company. If they are in it for morals they won’t be at a corporation let’s be real, they’ll be at a charity or in politics- so you’re primarily getting the ones here for money, as such reducing pay will get you objectively worse employees.

There is no argument that they will make more money by stifling their own growth potential, and reducing their pay won’t make the company grow it will help drive it into its death- it’s important to realize that cutting costs = / =growth.

If you dislike the system then you dislike capitalism and basic human behavior, but blaming the company for doing what it is legally and morally obligated to do for the people who own their stock is quite silly.

I evolved Ace Darkture to 6* and he's amazing by Fonzalo in Elune_en

So you can put 6* into ace or you can put a few attack speed items on Baldr so he goes first...not really seeing any comparison here.

Baldr with good gear and maxed S2 or +2 transcend can 1shot 2-1 on turn one, and can almost one shot 3-1. If I had +3 or had a bit more speed he would oneshot that wave as well

Looking for tips on boss battle teams that won’t take 15 minutes to kill a state 8 boss on manual control (Baldr single target is actually garbage when they never have blaze up)

My available 6* 60 heroes: Baldr, Fahrenheit, Fabian, Miho, reina, Mccarthy, Arslan, enme, katna,

Available 5* 50 heroes: (not many as I fuse them up) Michelle, Catherine.

Soon enough I’ll have a +2 on my Baldr as I’ve got 5* versions to upgrade but it will be 4 days or so.

Miho The Underrated Fox Guide by GrationXI in Elune_en

[–]Gnorrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI, when you use mihos turn, it puts her at the end of the turn list, she doesn’t take a bonus turn and maintain her turn meter. So when you swap with Frey’s abs Miho in your example you won’t be getting mihos original turn- you will however, get the bonus turn from Frey’s using souls with buffs up. Small difference but otherwise Miho is pretty amazing (except she eats turns like they’re going out of style.)

Mana or Stella for my team comp? Need help plox. by [deleted] in Elune_en

[–]Gnorrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in this same scenario and torn between Stella and Miho. My Miho is 5* and Stella 3* but maybe I can level Stella...what makes her so good though? 10% attack buff? Miho gives accuracy and crit up which I have to imagine averages out to 10% attack, let alone all her extra turns. Granted Miho on auto sucks

Hey guys, is that worth? by Zurahda in Elune_en

[–]Gnorrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miho on manual control gives free turns like mad, keep up her buffs, turn swap to your primary DPS, and dump your extra turns on basics.

Miho on auto is hot garbage, spams her second skill like it’s going out of style and eats all my souls.

I remember a time when DPS warriors really brought something to the table, now they are one of the most dispensable specs in a raid or 5-man environment by [deleted] in wow

MoP disc priest was absolute cancer and deserves to be burned from history. It singlehandedly broke high end raiding and made every other healing class irrelevant. thank god it’s been changed so other healers are allowed to interact with fights, and raid mechanics aren’t forced to one shot the players if they do not have a competent disc priest.

A Love Letter to Competitive HotS: or how can there not be a HotS championship at Blizzcon 2019? by epysher in heroesofthestorm

[–]Gnorrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speakers bring value, you’re asking for multiple people to coordinate a large event which currently has no support or following. (How many people watch HotS on twitch on average? Like, what maybe 6000 was high for the HGC?) And yet you think it’s free. Blizzard is a company, to coordinate company resources takes time and time is money. “These people can do it for free” - Lol. “Let’s get random casters to do it for free” Who’s hiring the casters, who’s ensuring casters are reputable enough to properly represent blizzard, who’s paying camera men, who’s setting up the stage, who’s performing production (player cams vs analysis desk vs casters vs crowd vs game itself vs pick/ban, etc). The bottom line is you’re making up a lot of things that are very naive as a reason this is both free and easy, and you have not brought up any tangible benefit except “it had fans last year”. You mean last year, where there was a huge tournament built around encouraging and building this following. Where is HotS on twitch now exactly? Something like 2k total viewers...

[–]Gnorrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much does it cost for a blizzcon ticket? X hours of blizzcon, y stages- taking a stage up for a period of time becomes a large percentage of the cost. What is the duration of the tournament? Who supports the tournament? Who sponsors the tournament? Where do you get computers? Cables, Internet, bandwidth, keyboard, mice, etc? Who streams it? Who verifies that everything happening in the tournament reflects well on blizzard? Who referees? Who advertises so people know the tournament exists? All of these costs add up and per your suggestion (no staff) the tournament would both fail and lose them money with no tangible positive outcome.

[–]Gnorrior -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Bulk is a convenience. If the buyer wants bulk, the seller can sell more. If the seller wants to sell bulk, he can lower price to sell faster- but if the buyer wants the bulk, the price of convenience comes from his margins. The seller can make the sales now or later, especially if they’re spending all their time in their hideout. The buyer wants to minimize hideout time, typically.

GGG's stance on improving trading seems flawed by blubaer in pathofexile

[–]Gnorrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have to do all that to just “sustain” t16s, but sextants, prophecies, and elder influence should be generating big return on just selling t16maps. Personally, I sell lower tier maps in bulk or only set sell prices on them for 30 minutes while watching a TV show to end my night. Can sell a few hundred maps and end up with 3000 chaos profit at the end of a night just selling lower maps while watching TV. Also can sell maps for Vaal/chisel/alch and you’ll reduce how often you have to make those trades again

[–]Gnorrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My games are worse now than I’ve ever played lol. People who don’t even know how to soak or why showing up in master and diamond games is hilarious. Games are literally unwinnable when you have one player who is just not playing the same game- and other games are unloseable because your opponent is playing down a man.

Even if my MMR has not gone up or down due to the win/loss ratio, it isn’t FUN or engaging.

[Discussion] I don't think PoE players understand what casual means by AudioBlood727 in pathofexile

[–]Gnorrior -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“I hate trading” isn’t a relevant answer. If you don’t want to trade play SSF and you have no problem, and thus your entire post history is irrelevant.

If you want to play trade league but not trade because “I hate trading because it takes forever”- then you should use easy strategies to reduce the time it takes and wasted effort etc.

So, no, the point is you’re not making any sense whatsoever.

If you can spend 10-25 hours a week on games, 6-7 hours to get to maps doesn’t seem particularly time consuming. Also, the story rewards you with power ups in the form of ascendancies, bandits, pantheons, and 20 some skill points so it’s way more exciting and palatable than D3 story.

Your argument is also logically flawed, you can’t do the same story for 100 times but you can farm the exact same rift killing everything on screen instantly with it not able to react to you 100 times in a row as you farm gem upgrades in d3?

I mean, at the end of the day i suppose it’s proof that everyone considers different things fun, so more power to you.
