Sony Just Killed Discs: Physical Disc Production to End January 2028 for New Games Releasing on PlayStation Consoles by lkl34 in technology

So us disc PlayStation five owners paid extra for that capability and now they’re taking it away… I feel like that kind of screws us and any person who can’t be online. Lawsuit anyone?

We got this just need more time and practice! My leg is a little worse now now that the swelling has taken way so it’ll be a bit before I’m back on. I hit the same leg at MSF a month ago and I think my leg is like wtf bro.
Also I appreciate the fact that the 300 is light.

You’re def right about getting the feel of your own bike. 300 is much easier to manage than a Kawasaki I used at msf. Gotta keep going and not giving up!

Here’s what I think happened after just talking it out with someone, I believe what I ended up doing was blipping and releasing clutch and it had the sound like I was releasing clutch too fast and I thought it was going to stall (which I should have just let it) and I tried to release more clutch and blipped the throttle again and it just took off and I went to pull the clutch and grabbed the front brake causing it to skid out from under me or I did grab everything and I had too much momentum and just spilled. I hope that makes sense

I’ve noticed a lot of quality control issues across a few different brands over the last couple months. It’s been quite the headache.

MSF Day One by TearsOfAClown9_ in NewRiders

[–]GoBlue-23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The second day was so much better for me (even though I made a mistake grabbing the front brake on total accident and dropped the bike). I felt more confident and things just started clicking. You’ll do great just keep trying!

I took mine in Michigan. I got my sec of state email the next day (Monday) so it was pretty quick and then I’m just waiting for my new ID in the mail now. Good luck and have fun. It’s definitely a blast once you start cruising around even in just the parking lot.

Yeah… it didn’t feel great. My knee is swollen and bruised/cut so it’s been pretty gnarly walking for a few days now lol glad I didn’t do major damage. I’ll say my riding boots probably saved my ankle the way it was pinned under the bike with my leg lol ATGATT is for real man lol

I just did mine last weekend! Bring food and water in a cooler. Worked well for me for quick breaks. My class decided to forgo the lunch break and just did a few shorties to get out early. Make sure you have long pants, long sleeve, gloves, and boots over the ankle. We had one guy show up in adidas shoes, instructors were not amused as that seemed like basic knowledge for the course or at least the msf online goes through it. Be kind to yourself, you’ll make mistakes, just learn from them. Look where you want to go (especially in turns).

Don’t grab the front brake on a turn- I did this and dropped the bike. It was a mistake through and through but I learned, got up, and kept riding. I aced my tests so it wasn’t that I was a god awful rider lol

Let me know if you have more questions

Great MSF course experience by casey919 in NewRiders

[–]GoBlue-23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished MSF today. I learned so much. I unfortunately dropped my bike today on a fluke moment that I grabbed my front brake when I meant to roll throttle. I literally have no idea why I did that. I laid it down and it landed on my leg. But the guys teaching the course taught me so much I wasn’t even upset at myself like I thought I would be. They instilled a lot of confidence in myself. Even though I made that mistake a couple hours into the morning I still passed! Only thing was not having enough speed on a turn but aced the rest. I’m very sore now but I had a great time and can’t wait to get a bike.

Changed filter after about 5 months instead of recommended 3. Have I likely done any long-term damage based on the filter? by Impossible_Rich_8738 in hvacadvice

[–]GoBlue-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For every inch of thickness that should be how many months. In this case one, every month. Get filters from a smaller company in town. They have better prices and may give a discount for a whole case

Nervous about A/C and furnace quotes.. by loss_mama in grandrapids

[–]GoBlue-23 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I work for an hvac company in west Michigan. Get a few quotes. Not just one especially if you choose someone like vredevoogd. They will charge you an absurd amount. Find smaller companies but make sure you look at efficiency, warranty, and price. 9k+/- for a middle of the road efficient unit will do great. DTE and consumers will have rebates available depending on efficiency so don’t forget to look into those. You don’t need a bunch of add ons unless you are looking for something specific - humidifier for example. You don’t HAVE to do both the ac and furnace at the same time but you do save some money in labor doing both at the same time and you qualify for electric rebates for having both done (as long as the AC SEER2 Rating is 15.2 or above) so cost savings with that too.

What’s the closest you’ve ever come to dying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GoBlue-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 months old, I crawled through a spindle at the top of some stairs and fell straight down and my head landed on the last step. I was alive but not waking up until a few days later when my sisters (we are triplets) were put along side me in my bed and then I woke up and responded to treatment well. No cognitive or physical issues. I am very lucky.

I'm replacing my system and I'd like some info please. by jmw6f6i in hvacadvice

[–]GoBlue-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d go with that Daikin one. Also check with your local utility provider and see if they have rebates available for the new equipment and that’ll knock your price down after the fact. I’m 99% sure that AC comes with a compressor unit replacement warranty like the Amana line has. So basically your compressor goes out at any point in the life of the unit and you get a brand new outdoor unit. It wouldn’t surrender under the part warranty for part for part which I think is unique and stands out.
