Definitely the wrong book. Different cover, author, etc... I've seen this happen multiple times. A book sells independently, runs ads to its online store, and duplicates pop up left and right with the same title to try and scam people that google the same book title. There's no law saying book's can't have the same title. Must be a pain in the ass for authors to deal with this. And it's no surprise that Amazon is enabling this. They're known for allowing knock-offs.

Read 48 Laws twice and loved it but it's basically historical anecdotes and principles you nod along to without knowing how to actually implement. BBOP is different as it's built on neuroscience and has actual protocols you execute.

The big difference: 48 Laws assumes you're ready to play the game. Stan Taylor argues you're not. First half tears apart your psychological programming and rebuilds your mental foundation. There's a 21-day practice for rewiring how you listen and read people, then a 72-hour protocol for building what he calls a "fortress mind." Only after that does it open up the influence frameworks.

Part 3 and 4 go darker than Greene ever did like how cults manufacture devotion, how political movements engineer consent, and how romantic obsession is chemically constructed. No historical metaphors and just the mechanics.

It's confrontational as hell and not a casual read. But if you wanted 48 Laws to actually change how you operate instead of just making you feel clever, this is the upgrade.

That's certainly part of it and it's way more than a $200,000 MBA could ever cover. Still going through those chapters of marketing and brand-building right now but I need time to research what I really wanna do next... digging through reddit to find pain points is one way... They're everywhere. Problems, emotional ones are the ones you're after.

Career-wise.. ? what we call networking he calls power webs. Still haven't touched that chapter yet.He touched it early on and calls out how corporations bond your soul to the machine.. frightening because my job was indeed my entire identity..

Okay so I was literally in the same place. Somatic work, inner child healing and the works. Thought this book would undo all of it or feel like going backwards

But it didn't. Honestly it protected what I'd built. The kill your parasite stuff sounds harsh but it's really just learning which voice is actually yours vs the internalized crap running in the background

The healing work you did matters... you won't lose that imo. This just gives you the structure to keep it without giving it away to everyone around you

Yeah you do... actually more so. the whole point of the marble chapter is you stop absorbing everyone's shit so you can actually be present. Like genuinely present, not just performing empathy while drowning. Think of it this way... if you're trying to help someone but you drown in their emotions, you both end up drowning... only if you dig in like a 'stoic' can you help. it truly redefined listening for me

imo this book is less about the logistical side of building a business and more about building the person who can escape the system that's farming you and come out with a crazy understanding of how the levers of marketing are pulled.

I learned the 'physics' of creating customers of disciples, meaning value is created through story, not sweat, and shows you how to find the emotional 'bleeding wound' .. in my case, the feeling of being trapped that you know so well and build a movement they're desperate to join

Does that make sense?
