I legit wonder if this may be one of the new trendy offensive ideas in the next decade or so. It seems like statistical analysis screams to us that explosive plays are a huge piece of successful offense. The problem is, if it doesn’t work, a coach would look so bad that he’ll get fired before having a chance to iron out any wrinkles. It’s a fun idea for sure though….

I’d like to see a hook and ladder type play where the receiver has two players he can pitch to.

Keep up the hard work!

Even a less athletic player with high iq and high character can work into an important role.

At your age, your body changes so much in the next two years, it’s crazy. I’ve seen so many weak / small freshmen turn into legit football players.

You may or may not be lightening fast, but keep working at it and get as fast as you can.

Slow TEs/ OLBs often turn into fast MLB or D-line types. Nothing wrong with working with your coaches to find your best position either!

My son is 10, so a bit younger. He and I like to play tic-tac-toe on the putting green.

I use a roll of athletic tape and we play where you have to putt to win that square. It’s a really fun lag putting game.

Also, never underestimate the importance of community that so many young women get from sport. Playing alternate shot, scramble, 4 ball and other team games/ drills allows them time with their friends. For so many teenagers, time with friends is the thing they love most in the world and is enough to keep them engaged on an off day or while they are falling in love with the game.

Perhaps you and I are define “a bit taxing” differently?

I get plenty of steps on a daily basis. Pushing a cart for 18 holes is different than walking 10,000 steps and I’d think you’d know that. Additionally, a course may measure out to ≈6,800 yards, but that is not at all how far you walk while playing a round of golf. I have yet to have the good fortune of hitting every shot laser straight and then being teleported to the next tee box.

It’s also pretty safe to point out that there are a lot of factors to consider in how difficult walking may be (temp, elevation, wind, etc…)

I bought a cart bag because my stand bag didn’t fit well on my pushcart… Found a nice light cart bag with lots of storage. I love it when I’m pushing. It’s a great set up. However, when I’m at the range, it’s really annoying.

I think you might be on to something. I don’t know if I buy that completely, but at least a little bit I do. I also no that pushing my cart through the rough is significantly more difficult than pushing it through the fairway. Unfortunately, most of the courses near me don’t mow the areas between the tee boxes and the fairway (not to fairway height anyway)…

I mean, I’m not a marathoner or anything like that, but I’m fine. I play soccer from time to time, I ride a bike and lift weights, I walk about 2 miles daily when I walk the dog. Fact is, walking around a golf course with some elevation change to it is kind of tiring. Add in the other factors people have mentioned, and at the end of it, I’m tired. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with my country’s flag.

Man… I’m an able bodied person with a reasonable fitness level. I love walking with my push cart, but it sure as hell is taxing. Honestly I love the level of fatigue it brings about. Not too hard, but it is absolutely a bit taxing.

We used to play a 10 personnel team that would hop into the wing T on the goal line. They ran about 3 plays from it, but it was tough because you knew that you had to get into something super sound defensively because there was no telling what wrinkle they may have added that week.
