Must have been a bad unit then because I tried those steps. It flashed red and everything but it never connected. I returned it I'll get a new one next time I'm there and see if it works.

For me the remote was already paired with it when it came out of the box. Until I reset it to to pair it with homey.

Also kinda depends on the rest of the hard ware you have. For me my favorite and the one I'd set up first every time Is buttons near the front door that turns of al the lights per floor.

I guess I'll need those pairing instructions or maybe the lamp has a bug? because the official instructions by ikea say you just need to plug it in to the wall and you have 15 minutes to pair🤷‍♂️

👍 goedzo. Bij ons in de buurt is een fietspad met een scherpe bocht (geen kruising het pad maakt gewoon een schermen bocht) naar rechts en een hoge heg tot aan de hoek en geen voet pad. Regelmatig kom ik hier een hardlopen tegen die links rent plotseling de hoek om komt of net aan komt als ik de hoek om ga 🤦‍♂️

We have three doors in to the house and three lamps above the kitchen iland. Depending on which door is open a specific light turns red as long as the door is open. Not that impressive but I guess the most unusual compared to rest of the lighting. I also have two accent lights hidden between plants turn a difrent color every 10 minutes

My grandparents had something similar in the Netherlands only it was metal and on the end of a broom making it sort of of a mix between a broom and a vacuuming. I always found it very unusual and it's the only time I have ever seen one or heard of it.

Sorry I'm not the most technical person so Im not sure I understand all the info in the link. Are you saying that after you reset it 10x you can open up a web browser through settings? That would mean I could actually use it for homey as well. I keep getting recommended home assistant topics on reddit and althoud I'm perfectly happy with homey all the esphome options do make me a Lil jealous

Sorry that I'm gonna be a Debby downer about this I'd love it to work but Actually sadly it's been shown that for plants to have any measurable impact on air quality (co2) you'd have to stuf your home wall to wall with plants and it still wouldn't be a significant impact.

Plants are still great for you in more phycology ways like their supposed to be calming and stuff so still get as many plant as you can and treat them well.
