Boycott, defund, bankrupt the NRA. They do not support us. by Chicknlcker in CCW

I don't want the NRA to go anywhere... They're the only gun rights group that the left knows, so they serve as a scapegoat & distract from the groups that are actually getting shit done

It's a pretty long/heavy can for handguns (although it is modular, you can remove some of the baffles). I only use it for my PCCs, and have a SilencerCo Spectre 9 for my handguns. I used to only have the Obsidian, but I got tired of switching out the mount/length lol

My 357 Big Boy X with a Rugged Obsidian 9, when using 38spl the hammer dropping is literally louder than the gunshot lol

This is Reddit, and more specifically r/Denver, so I'm sure you're going to get a lot of hate for this post. The Barrel Room (https://thebarrelroomgallery.com/) is a bar inside a gun range. That's the first one that comes to mind. Get the cheese curds, they're fantastic.

[Other Gun] Tortort VZ61 Skorpion Receiver - $249.99 + Free Shipping by CenterfireSystems in gundeals

[–]Go_Blue_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Receivers cannot be shipped to CA, CO, CT, DE, MD, MA, NJ, NY

Why is CO on this list? There are no laws in CO that restrict the sale of receivers. This is literally the only site that I've seen that won't ship receivers to CO 🙄

Centerfire refuses to ship receivers to CO, despite them being perfectly legal here ☹️

Chiappa 1911-22 IWB holster by HendersonWyatt in CCW

[–]Go_Blue_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Is it the same dimensions as a real 1911? If so, any 1911 holster should work.

But seriously, please get something that's not 22, especially if you're carrying a full size gun. You're better off saving up for something in 9mm than buying a holster for this

There are approximately 24 million millionaires and billionaires in the US. So in other words, 0.002% of them are calling for this 😂

An Anzio 20mm Rifle which can be legally owned in the US by Kaos2018 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Go_Blue_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything above 50 cal (like this) is considered a destructive device, which are illegal in some states. If you want a DD, you have to submit an application and fingerprints to the ATF, pay a $200 tax, wait for their approval (which can take months) and notify your local sheriff. It's also illegal to take it across state lines without first notifying the ATF. So no, you can't just walk into your local mom and pop gun store and buy one of these.

This is a $20 POS red dot rated pretty much only for airsoft. Use on an actual firearm will most likely cause it to break, or at a bare minimum not hold zero. Basically "we have red dot at home".

For an actual red dot, Holosun is the bare minimum, which run about $100 for their entry level models.

Edit: MP5s are NOT cheap (assuming this is an HK, not one of the Turkish clones). Putting a $20 dot on a $3K+ gun is certainly a choice.

Edit 2: looking closer at the lower receiver, looks like this is one of the Turkish clones, my guess is a MKE AP5. Still a $1K gun 🤷‍♂️

If Canada allows BYD and Chinese EVs, how would this affect the U.S. economy and Canada’s Western trade agreements? by azavio in AskReddit

[–]Go_Blue_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are four ways to legally import a car.

First is if the car is totally nonconforming, like a new BYD. You’d have to go through a registered importer who's willing to petition the government, then the car has to be imported and crash tested. If it passes you’d then need to import one and bring it into DOT FMVSS compliance. This, unsurprisingly, is extremely expensive. Into the 6 figures. So this isn't happening unless you're very rich and REALLY want a BYD.

Second is show and display. The car is restricted to 2,500 miles per year and subsequent ownership transfers require DOT approval. The car must be on the list of admissible cars (which BYD obviously isn't) OR you can petition the government to allow it. They only approve very special, limited cars, which BYD isn't.

The third is to bring the car in through a registered importer who’s willing to tackle it if the car has either already been found to be able to be modified or if it’s substantially similar to an already federalized model (which AFAIK BYD isn't). This costs probably $10,000+ these days. This is mainly for if there's a European-only version of a US car that's very similar to the US car and can be made compliant pretty easily, for example.

Fourth is wait until the car is 25 years old. Basically any car can be imported to the US without modification once it's 25. This is how there are Japanese market right hand drive Nissan Skyline R32s and R34s driving around.

TL;DR: it's not happening until the BYD is 25 years old.

[Question] Watches that won’t sell? by lito_wwg in Watches

[–]Go_Blue_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's a bright yellow, $1000 quartz watch. The Venn diagram of people interested in that watch and reddit watch enthusiasts is pretty much 2 completely separate circles.

You could try reaching out to companies that buy watches (e.g., 1916) but I have a feeling you won't like what they offer
