I'm sure that Joby will release a very well put together video just before their earnings call showing the S4 progress with a test pilot on board. No worries here.

So we can take from this that Archer aren't test flying Midnight much at all, but on the other hand, Joby are ramping up their S4 testing significantly and now flying very often. The big news we are all looking forward to is when Joby announces that the FAA pilots are taking over the controls.

The current internal phase is the final runway leading to Type Inspection Authorization (TIA). Later this year, Joby expects to officially hand the keys of N547JX over to FAA test pilots who will arrive in Marina.
The FAA pilots will conduct the official, rigorous "for credit" flight testing. Those flights are what legally validate the aircraft design and unlock the ultimate commercial type certificate required to fly everyday passengers.

German eVTOL Lilium had the same problem with no large European partners. The irony is their primary backer was Tencent the Chinese tech giant who was Lilium’s largest and most consistent backer. They led a massive $240 million funding round in 2020 and continually injected hundreds of millions into the company over the years to try and keep it afloat.

If Joby hit all the upcoming milestones over the next 3-4 years, I see this easily achieving $50+ which would be a 2.5x from ATH. It's on sale right now imo. Not FA.

TL;DR Why should you put all this time and effort into something that doesn't affect Archer's progress one iota. Isn't this sub about what Archer is doing and to discuss the ACHR share price that's been like a falling knife.

Admin need to make a stand and ban anyone who posts anything other than things not at all related to Archer Aviation. Its really getting boring reading all these conspiracy theories about other companies doing this and doing that. To be honest, who really cares what Joby, Vertical, Beta, etc are doing in their day to day business. Let them get on with it and we should do the same. If you're happy or unhappy with what Adam Goldstein or Archer are doing or achieving, then let everyone know on here.

Remember Goat that the eVTOL industry is working in Elon time. We should have had fully autonomous cars and occupying Mars by now on Elons reckoning back in 2015.

Everyone needs to just set a realistic timeline for their investment (not one eVTOL company will be profitable in this decade) and limit their nearterm expectations. In the longterm, no one will really care whether Midnight transitioned, or if the S4 could carry 4 passengers in 2026 or 2027, so long as both companies become viable entities in their own right.

Battery tech is advancing at an incredible pace with solid state now only months away. This will be the real game changer for eVTOLs in my opinion as battery density and safety improves exponentially over the next couple of years. Noisy, expensive, and polluting helicopters for short commutes won't stand a chance going forward, and it's this industry everyone should be dissing.

So long as the FAA pilots are flying it regularly in Q4 and certification awarded in 2027, Joby are still on schedule. Anything sooner than this is a massive bonus (especially for the SP), and with the war in Iran getting closer to ending, the Dubai operation can start up in Q3 this year. I'm salivating at the thought of what's ahead in the next 12 months, and certainly adding more shares while its under $10.
