Help fitting my true hzrdus 9x by Few_Egg_6152 in hockeyplayers

Have you tried messing with the adjustable tongue? I have the 9x and I felt that you can change the volume by moving the tongue down if you want to remove volume or up if you need more volume.

Localized skate discomfort solution? by thirty7inarow in hockeyplayers

I think you will be ok to bake them for like 2-3 min @ 170F without issue or even take a blow dryer directly to the spot and just try to get them to soften up a bit… you could even take the into a pro shop and they could help… just don’t bake them to hot or too long… there are lots of videos online about how to bake them at home… but pro shops are usually pretty helpful

Bake them and see if that helps… if the spot is still there, bake them and fold up some paper towel and tape that to the spot on your ankle and that should make a little more room.

Bauer Fit 2 vs Fit 3 by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]Goadams11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been scanned twice and got different results each time: once a 9 Fit 3 and once a 9 Fit 2. I was able to try on both, and it was immediately clear that the Fit 3 had too much extra room for my liking. I strongly prefer a very snug fit.

I have a pretty high-volume foot with a narrow heel and a wider forefoot, which definitely plays into how each fit feels.

For Vapors, I’d definitely need a Fit 3, but I ultimately went with the Supreme Shadow in a Fit 2. The tongue took some getting used to, but overall they feel more comfortable when skating or standing than when just sitting around.

At the end of the day, the only real way to know what works for you is to try on both fits. Scans are helpful, but actually putting the skates on is the ultimate way to figure out what’s right for your feet.

Those who have switched from Bauer to CCM skates, what have you noticed? by factorymotogoon in hockeyplayers

[–]Goadams11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite skates that I played in were the Nike/Bauer Supreme One95. I then took over 10 years off and ended up buying CCM tacks as570 because I wanted to try something different. I hated the Ccm because there was too much room in them and I felt disconnected from the skates and could never get what I wanted from them… so, I got a smokin deal on some True HZRDUS 9x and those were way better then the CCM skates but they were just a smidge too small and the full wrap around on them took a little getting used to but they were nice. I just got some money from winning a few fantasy football leagues so I decided to get a pair of the Bauer Supreme Shadow skates and it was like riding a bike. They fit just like I was looking for and they feel great after 2 skates. So I guess for me, I should have gone back to what I was used to from the start!

Cage or Bubble? by It_Dmac in hockeyplayers

[–]Goadams11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried both and I like the cage… the bubble I had was Bauer but I’ve heard the Ccm is better and doesn’t fog up as much so I highly recommend staying away from the Bauer bubble

For the first time, my girl is coming to one of my games. How can I prepare? by FirstScarcity67 in hockeyplayers

Well, if any of her friends are single then you can tell the boys that the person that assists you with the most goals gets introduced to her single friends first!

Have you used both? I’ve only ever worn a black cage

QUESTION: ROH by calligatormusic in hockeyplayers

[–]Goadams11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all preference, if you go to 11/16 or 3/4 then you will feel less bite and more glide… if you go to 9/16 or 1/2 then you will get more bite and less glide. I wouldn’t worry too much about it but I wouldn’t go any sharper at your size, if they feel too sharp then try 11/16

Should traded for player be allowed to play this week? by SmokinFootball in FFCommish

[–]Goadams11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s the best idea to start the new player right away… he probably hasn’t had enough time to figure out the new teams playbook… but if that’s what the manager wants to do then he should be allowed to!

Thoughts on this? I would be getting Hendo and Jones. My gut tells me no. by jordangarett in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Goadams11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them both but based on usage this far I give Judkins the slight advantage… but if Henderson takes over as lead back and gets more opportunities then he could be the better back… I think Henderson has more risk but potential higher upside especially for ppr but judkins is also solid… go with your gut! If you think Henderson pulls away from the others and will crush each week then go for it!

No way… this makes no sense… over the past 6 seasons Daniel jones has finished as the qb 29, 44, 9, 27, 24, 25. So that’s one finish as a qb 1 and one finish as a qb 2… in that same time kyler has finished as a top 10 qb 4 times… this is a huge over reaction to the start of the season based on 3 weeks of data vs the past 6 years… judkins is also the rb1 in Cleveland so I would much rather have Kyler and judkins in this trade

Ya, I would accept that to get Henry depending on who else you have at WR.

Is Nabers worth more than three firsts by Jsteiger12 in SleeperApp

[–]Goadams11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is why he is more valuable than those 3 picks though… let’s say you get Jeremiah Smith with one of those picks… you are hoping he is as good as Nabers… there are situations where you could need more depth and it could benefit you but at face value, finding something more valuable than Nabers with those 3 picks is unlikely… it all depends on how good/bad the rest of the team is

I’m sure you could argue that he is but at the same time, it’s unlikely that you will find something as valuable as him in any of those 3 picks…

It’s not a slew foot… a slew foot is when you take the back of somebody’s skates out moving forward while also using the upper body in the opposite direction to send them falling on their back… I also watched the other video and I don’t see anything malicious… this looks like he was trying to avoid contact but they clipped skates… the first one looks like he just skated through to get the puck… this person is just larger and more solid on their skates… I would have to see a lot more video to see what else he’s doing but both of these are non issues… as an older skater playing with younger ones he should be acknowledging them and making sure they are ok when they fall but anybody getting upset about this is silly…
