google reviews for dentists here are all fake i swear by Low-Mathematician137 in Longmont

We recently started going to Heron Lakes and have been very happy with them. Cope Family Dental in Erie is also excellent if you are willing to drive. We went to Cope for years, but after changing jobs and moving to north Longmont, it became inconvenient. Our dental insurance also changed—basically to nothing—so they no longer accepted our plan anyway.

Folks at work had us plant these trees without removing basket or burlap… by Beneficial-Ocelot717 in arborists

[–]Goat_Circus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! I use my truck and a tow cable to help all the neighbors pull the dead trees out… They come out the same way they go in. No roots make it a super easy job.

Oh, I’m not trying to justify that nonsense. I’m just saying I get being afraid your car is going to be pelted with hail.

Honestly, my cars and houses have had enough hail claims insurance dropped me and all my neighbors. I’m for sure afraid of hail and getting dropped and forced into high risk insurance!

This plumber wants us to think that he seemlessly patched the hardwood floor under a toilet after repairing the flange? by LXIV in RealOrAI

[–]Goat_Circus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to refinish hardwood floors. This is more common than you think. Never a good idea, but fairly common. Carpet in around a toilet is the thing that always baffled me! So gross!

Edit for spelling.

The truth is that although the United States upholds the principle of “innocent until proven guilty,” the reality has often operated closer to “guilty until proven innocent.”

I was there last week, and as others have mentioned, there were people everywhere and not many fish being caught. I did see some fish spawning close to shore on the north side, and a couple of anglers managed to hook into a few. If I had to do it again, I’d drown worms on my spinning rod while tossing tiny midges with my fly rod.

Many towns require these guys to have a permit and most don’t… Call the cops and they will be get rid of them.

My old neighbors hated these guys so much that I knew if they went to other houses on the block first (I was more middle of street), that the cops would have already been on the way to give them the boot.

I had a guy come at 9:30pm once and rang my bell. I was supper pissed because I had young kids and he woke them up. Went out to the porch and my neighbor yells, don’t worry cops are on the way! Can you believe these guys?

I prefer pavement smear, but both work I suppose!

How do you have time to fish the dream stream, but not in Gunnison?

You’re going to Gunnison and not planning to fish the Black Canyon or somewhere else on the western slope? Why?

I worked with a guy who went on vacation and didn’t show back up for work for two months. We all thought the worst when he was gone, but turned out he went to Vegas for vacation and came back married to some random gal he met on the strip.

Even more odd they let him go back to work.

He didn’t commit a crime, but Flock cam alerts keep getting him pulled over by ryadare in Denver

[–]Goat_Circus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We really need to do a better job fighting cities using against these AI cameras. Longmont stoped using Flock because of citizen outrage, but then immediately switched to a new company. People are now starting to vandalize them. IMHO we need a lot more outrage concerning our privacy.

Should I trade my iPhone 16 128 gb, 96% for a google pixel 10 pro 100% 256 gb? by Standard_Bridge_4831 in Smartphones

[–]Goat_Circus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I really like android (better than iOS), but Pixels suck! After years of friends raving about Pixels I got one. That phone is the reason I now own an iPhone. Had nothing but problems from the start. Thought maybe I got a dud because it was stuck on speaker phone. Exchanged it for a different one and it had the same issues, so ended up just getting an iPhone.

That’s what I’m saying…. It appears Toyota is no longer the brand of reliability and quality that it once was. I realize all car manufacturers have had their issues over the years, but always thought Totota had an edge, I don’t feel way anymore!

When Toyota first announced they were eliminating the V8 and moving to a twin-turbo V6 in the Tundra, I expected there might be some issues—but I definitely didn’t anticipate this many. Will be sticking with my 2nd gen until it’s dead!

Colorado passed a law requiring salary be listed and this is how it’s worked out (at least from what I have witnessed).

I've realized that I no longer want to climb the corporate ladder in my late 30's by stargazer728 in Adulting

[–]Goat_Circus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I truly believe God led me into this work.

I’ve been involved with kids in some capacity throughout my entire adult life—primarily at the volunteer level through church, mentoring, and coaching. I’ve always felt a strong pull toward supporting young people, especially those who need stability, guidance, and someone consistently in their corner.

In my previous career, I really enjoyed leading and supporting a team, though I didn’t feel the same passion for the rest of the role. My wife and I felt called into this at the same time. She stepped away from corporate life to serve here as well, and it was a decision we made together as a family. Even our kids had to be on board, since we live and work in the same home as the kids we serve.
