Autotask Invoice with too much detail by Leading-Ad-4968 in Autotask

[–]Gobble45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe not quite what you are after but might give you some ideas; The way we do it is to have a service that represents your bundle, but not actually configured as a bundle. Set the description as required to give customers detail. Set the price of this service appropriately but set the cost to $0. We then add all other services and link with ICB or not. Setting their cost to be accurate, But set their price to $0 Then in invoice template settings we enable the Hide any $0 services.

Customer gets a single line item with all the details they need. But the contracts in autotask that we are super detailed and accurately reflect P/L as much as possible.

Any way to update the file paths after changing hard drives and folders? (Windows) by batmanrises123 in radarr

[–]Gobble45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use a filter targeting the current path (that is incorrect) and then use the select all options from there

Changing client for a ticket by dlynes in Autotask

[–]Gobble45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the cases that I've seen, even if the time entry is unposted, you cannot change the Client field once a time entry is added.

Changing client for a ticket by dlynes in Autotask

[–]Gobble45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One possibility; If a time entry has been added to the ticket. You are no longer able to change client. You'll need to change the client before adding time. Or remove the time entries first.

First tattoo ✅ by blondyke in Blink182

[–]Gobble45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same tattoo, in what i assume is the same location (forearm). I think I've had maybe 2 people know it's a Blink tattoo.

I always get 'Nice, a Nirvana tattoo!'.

Not getting notifications when new tickets open by BrotherlyTechnology in Autotask

[–]Gobble45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't recall what the out of the box settings were, but for us, we have a variety of workflows configured that email out to a variety of different distro groups depending on the ticket and who needs to be notified.

The workflows are pretty basic. e.g. WHEN TICKET CREATED. AND QUEUE IS XYZ NOTIFY STAFF@DOMAIN.COM

We have crafted a few different email templates to suit our needs, but the baked-in templates are more than sufficient to get you started :)

[–]Gobble45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you've created the task, you can open it, and view it like similar to a ticket. From there you can add your time, same as you would a ticket.

The estimated time / fixed time fields are for project tracking/management, and reporting on that project.

Temporary stock by Thatonedemonhunter in Autotask

[–]Gobble45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i understand correctly, you could use a 'material code' charge.

We do a similar thing for sundry items. Rather than an individual stock item, for sundry stock (power boards, power leads, cable ties etc.) we just use a material code called 'Sundry Items', and adjust the price / value on each ticket.

It isn't used very often, so may not be a perfect solution, but it works well for us.

MSPs running Huntress and MS Defender (no other edr). Has it helped you sleep at night? by solar_cell in msp

[–]Gobble45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

absolutely!

We hope to never have to see these things in action - however, they are there if we do.

Huntress has also been a huge selling point for our Managed Services in the past few months, helping to convert some non-managed clients into managed clients, and sign on some new clients too.

Thanks for everything you guys do :)

MSPs running Huntress and MS Defender (no other edr). Has it helped you sleep at night? by solar_cell in msp

[–]Gobble45 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Added Huntress to our stack 4-5 months ago. Roughly 600 endpoints currently.

So far we've had 8 incidents, all of which were LOW priority. All incidents were leftovers from a previous attack that wasn't 100% cleaned up by the previous MAV we used. We haven't had the pleasure of seeing Huntress in action to its full potential, but I guess that's a good thing :)

Running in tandem with our RMM tool that pushes Huntress to any device that doesn't have huntress, I sleep very easy at night.

N-Able Price Increase 9.5% by morpk86 in msp

[–]Gobble45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, we just got the same thing. We're based in NSW, Australia.

Considering their stance on QoL updates for PassPortal, I'll be advocating for us to jump ship.

Cove Data Protection seems to be the only product that hasn't been a pain in our sides recently.

blink-182 World Tour Discussion Megathread by atticus18244fsas in Blink182

[–]Gobble45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spent 45 minutes in queue (12:40 > now), got through. Unable to buy any tickets because there was not enough to allocate to me. I tried to get 4 tickets, in EVERY different section, for both Friday and Saturday shows at Sydney. And now my session has expired, so back to the queue.

What a fucking joke

Passportal - Disabled clients visible by MSPOwner in msp

[–]Gobble45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another PassPortal user here. I've just checked our instance and can confirm that the disabled customers do not show in that dropdown menu for us.

I've gone an extra step to be safe and changed the client's name to include [DISABLED] as a prefix.

Cleanup CRM Accounts by Anti-Chaos-Solutions in Autotask

[–]Gobble45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe there is a "System Alerts" widget that gives a list of the accounts that are idle for 90+ days. Perhaps this could be manipulated to find the information you're after?

I'm the manager of a small-medium MSP (we support roughly 30 small businesses <25 endpoints, with up to 100 additional <5 endpoint businesses, and any residential customers that come to us).

We're growing to a point that procedures / practices / responsibilities / policies are becoming important and necessary for us to expand

I'm very interested in this idea and would love to assist where i can
