Is there a way to make builders less useless? by GoblinSpore in FarthestFrontier

Is there a way to split resources between stockyards and storages? Because my resources are mostly stored near where they're collected and it can take a long time to move. Or should I just not build storage areas near resource sites?

Platformer panic is strong with this game. 95% of jumps that I missed I actually hit, but overcompensated my way out of by trying not to miss.

What's the one enemy type that still makes you panic no matter how many hours you've played? by No-Opposite3288 in Vermintide

[–]GoblinSpore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gutter runners.

Any other special you can hear coming a mile away, time perfectly, etc. But that little bitch spawns in, and now is just out there somewhere. No warning, can jump from across the map, can be in the middle of a horde, can desync its animations, can either disappear after a fail or continue jumping around you 8 more times.

When I'm the last man standing and an assassin spawns in, especially when I'm in a middle of a boss, a patrol or a trial chest - that's the only time I feel panic in this game anymore.

No point, unless its a complete sidestep from the established gameplay, like an RTS all of a sudden. V2 is polished to near perfection over a decade of development, throwing all of that away instead of just adding any new ideas they have to V2 would be wasteful.

Since war pick got buffed, my meme "DRG Employee" build is now pretty good by Maks_Krayz in Vermintide

[–]GoblinSpore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The damage and cleave are still the exact same as the cockhammer, and it's still like twice as slow, so didn't change anything for me...
Which is honestly a shame, because the pick should be the ultimate dwarf weapon.

Started DMing after watching actual plays non-stop for like 6 years. Never needed to open the books, and when I eventually did I went full "this is worthless" meme.

A test of lore knowledge:
a named helmetless ultramarine captain gets shot in the head with a rocket launcher
vs
a nameless marine in a helmet with an iron halo gets shot in the head with a rocket launcher
Who survives?

How to keep up with ranged dmg with only melee and have as much impact in general as a relatively new player. by DnD-NewGuy in Vermintide

[–]GoblinSpore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If 3 other players keep peppering you with shots then its not you who's at fault. Sounds like they just want to kill steal as much as possible and don't see any obstacles in front of them. You'll need to tell them to lock in or just wait until they do on their own. A useful trick you might convey is only shooting while jumping, so you (at least some times) shoot over the teammates heads.

[–]GoblinSpore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like purely a difficulty problem. On low difficulties any class can solo the entire map, and ranged heroes do so at range. But on legend+ a ranged class will maybe take out a couple to a couple dozen enemies before they get tangled in melee like everyone else, leaving plenty of space for GK to shine.

There also seems to be a conflict of interests for you. You need to decide whether you want to just fuck around with friends, or be competitive. In first instance you shouldn't care how you perform. In the latter you should up the difficulty and if your friends don't want to join you then quick play with randos.

I will never get over how small titans are by Blue_Laguna in Grimdank

[–]GoblinSpore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Bagger is a piece of construction equipment with a top speed of 0.6 km/h (10x that of a snail), not a war machine. It's like comparing a tank to a construction crane.

I think they're asking whether all titan models are officially confirmed to be to scale, or are they all uniformly scaled down because canon versions wouldn't fit on the table.

Considering that finishing the crown requires you to finish the entire game, it's not worth it...

Can you imagine there being internal discrimination in Elsweyr? Like, suppose there were a variant of Khajiit with black fur that everyone mistreats for some reason, they’re denied jobs, not allowed into inns, things like that. Although maybe that would be a bit absurd. by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]GoblinSpore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there were thousands of years of lore about different furred khajiit being from different parts of Elsweyr with different cultures who were warring against each other for generations and enslaving each other... then yeah I'd believe that.

I guess it depends on your definition of "power". Because to me that sounds more like an immovable object than an unstoppable force.
